A Knight's Tale

A Knight`s Tale

Somewhere in the shadows
beneath what no eye has seen
in between the rhythms
of complex night fallen dreams

Lies an enchanted fairy glade
where ferns and his lady dwells
and the breeze kisses the lips
of the golden daffodils

Hidden in this man`s secrets
the irony of mystery thrives
and by this promise only
his endeavour stays alive

On his horse he gallops
crossing stream and vale
grasping for the phantasms
that echo in the gales

He took notice in the crimson sand
of faint memories he has noticed this
fore as he took a closer look
he found that they were his

He had travelled to this distant isle
a thousand-fold before
and danced amidst her shimmering beauty
to songs of folk and lore

So as the ebb of day took throne
and the moon began to howl
by the trembling brook he wept
and kept his faithful vow

Like aspens in the wind
he too was blown astray
and can only hope and wish
to return again someday

Upon the dawn he awakes
her voice from the west avails
drawing him yet nearer in his journey
another chapter turned in this knight`s tale.
