A Memory

The sun was just up
Went for coffee with my friends
Catching up, smiles shared

You were in our midst
I had never seen you before
I thought must be new

Checking your card close
No, not new at all
Pictures caught my eye

As I looked at them
Each held the pointed message
Dark and Sensual

Words on the page both
warned and invited with care
Calculated with skill.

He was a bad boy
Or wanted all to think so
Which, I wondered, was it?

Gazes met, smiles shared
Knowing he'd read mine as well
Jersey girl well aware

Aware and ready
when his eyes spoke of desire
and mine fed him mine

Never missing steps
as the mating dance began
the bubble created

Those around us spoke
but none were heard or noted.
All senses focused

When he took my hand
reminding myself to breathe
the spell was well cast.

There in the sea's sand
His circle traced on my palm
And mine on his arm.
