If my life were a song
I wonder which you’d be
Words turned into lyrics or
Loud music washing over me

Poetic prose so cosmically profound
Helping me through difficult times and
Propelling me to rebound
Or
Mesmeric music
Providing solace unquietly
Reminding me of your rhythm
Deep inside of me

If my life were a song
I’d carry a secret indefinitely
If I wanted to think of you
I’d simply listen on repeat
