Affirmation and Acceptance

I wrote this poem about 35 years ago when I was searching for my soul.I wrote this in about an hour after I had meditated. So it is as it is.

Affirmation and Acceptance

no longer need I doubt
that true spirit abides within
no longer need I pray
with hopes of finding him
in one wondrous moment
it became quite clear
the Perfect One abides everywhere
quickly I rushed to the window front
to glimpse at the solitary oak
majestically draped in autumn coat
beneath this tree
green and brown of falling leaf
I stood there in awe
experiencing what I saw
deep within the great white oak
deeper still I knew
the Infinite One resides
as I gazed beyond and about
no longer need i doubt
I realize God is everywhere
Me too! Me too!
My heart began to sing
within that tree
within this Me
oh what a blessing to find
that all life is surely divine
