Agree to Disagree

Of Christians the churches are many,
Not all teachings are the same,
They hold to a fragile truce,
Agreeing to disagree.

The place called Purgatory,
To be cleansed of sins,
Before entering heaven,
We agree to disagree.

A time called the Rapture,
When the righteous are called,
And lifted up to heaven,
We agree to disagree.

Mary, conceived without sin,
Born pure to give birth to Jesus,
Bourne directly to heaven having never sinned,
We agree to disagree.

The King James Bible,
The only true translation,
God’s instructions to His people,
We agree to disagree.

Over 300 Christian sects,
But all believe in Jesus.
