cold stone walls
of self-preservation
are crumbling
guarded fortress
around my heart
comes tumbling
in soft green eyes
yes, you can see
it falling down
color returns to
a clouded mind
in a blinding flash
brilliant hues of
amethyst, emerald
amber and black
a whirling dervish spins
her body now released
gloriously unleashed
soul open wide
reaching for stars
this heavenly night
soarin' on the breeze
her mind open wide
dreaming once again
finally now to taste
that sweet freedom
and all by the kindness
