All You Are

A shooting star rides the night,
Bathing me in a milk white light.
I followed its path through the sky,
Over Heaven and Earth I watched it fly.
And it blinded me in passing.

A flower stands lonely in the grass,
With petals of honey and a stem of glass.
I longed to take it and make it mine,
And when I did, it began to shine.
And it lifted me up in passing.

The eyes of a child, so clear and bright,
But in those eyes an older light.
When I look deep, beyond the child,
I see something untamed, utterly wild.
And it frightens me in passing.

A wall of stone, built to last,
The hero's role is where I'm cast.
You are a maiden, glorious to behold.
To win your heart, I must be bold.
Just a fantasy in passing.

A sandy beach, a shaded hill,
A quiet place with time to kill.
I place your hand above my heart,
Of greater things is this the start.
And the moment is everlasting.
