America's Tragedy!

The world is in turmoil, a lot of lives in a mess,
What those people were thinking, I can’t begin to guess.
Their plane had been hijacked; they knew they were to die,
What their thoughts must have been, the terror, wondering why.
Son, you did a good job, Honey, your daddy’s little girl, Baby, I love you!
Words they will never say again, what will those who are left do?
They will be numb for a while, then anger at this unspeakable act,
It’s all part of the healing process, and that is a fact!
How do you tell a child, some crazy people were on the plane,
Mommy or Daddy went to see God; they must be in such pain!
I wish I could put my arms around them and pull them close to me,
And tell them it was just a bad dream, how I wish it could be!
My daddy works in an office, my mommy’s a clerk,
Why did they have to die, they just went to work!
Said with pride, “My daddy’s a fireman,” “My daddy’s a cop.”
Their job is to help people and they can’t just stop.
All these are the true Heroes, a lot of them died,
They couldn’t save everyone, but they certainly tried!
Some people from other countries, their hearts full of hate,
Took God’s job away from him and decided their fate.
They killed mommies and daddies, someone please tell me for what?
They caused a lot of tragedy, but what have they got?
We will all grieve; we will cry and then clean up the rubble,
Help out and pray for those who are left, then brace for the trouble!
They killed innocent people, Mommies and Daddies, I will never understand it.
But, "I’M PROUD TO AN AMERICAN," THEY WON’T BREAK MY SPIRIT!
