Blackberry

Sweetly you beckon,
your scent on the air
taste on tounge
burst,
gush,
passionate flavor
your bait,
taste blood,
rip the flesh
with your kisses.

Tenacious life,
cover the dirt
in the blink of an eye.
Tear the cloth,
bring fire to skin.
Twine, twist
complex,
layers,
growth.
New covers old

You return.

Prey to hide,
hunter to prowl
silent, quick
painful.
Food for the meek,
bait for the strong.
You watch the kill with silent, cold
observation
entity,
with your purple eyes
and hungry vined fingers,
you seek to conquer the world.
Stronger than any army
to walk the earth
Cut you,
Burn you,
Poison you...

You return.

The time will come,
you shall bear witness
to the end
silent, quick
twist, twine
new covers old.
Watch man end his day's
in silent, cold
observation.
Entity,
spread your vined fingers
consume,
for you shall return to conquer all.
