  • Death of a shooting star

Death of a shooting star

Take a bow
You did it so well
The fooling of the masses
How could anyone tell?

The life of a slivery star
Shooting straight into my life
No one could record the ascent to your love
Faster than the speed of light

Stronger than the strongest fort
Longer than the year before infinity
The world was busy loving you
Highest be was your glory

But slowly just a tad gradually
Your burning glow would fade
The burning ambers of our passion
It died that day

Two hearts in an endless night
Two minds on a sultry day
One crossroads in an uncertain destiny
For destined happiness we did pray

How fast the magic blows in the air
How fast a shooting star dies
But now gracefully take your bow
Time for you to say goodbye

Someday you will remember me
When there is no more show
When our lives have passed us by
Will you regret then, who knows?
