He left me.
I never thought he'd go.
So quiet, so sweet,
I wonder, did he know?

Never a cross word,

Never a complaint,
He now wears a heavenly crown.

I never thought he'd go first.

A person so loving and giving,
Had many more years to see.

But my husband,
My only real friend
Fought to stay here,
