dark as night,
cold as winter,
never right,

fear and love
trust and hate
never there
or always late.

tears and games
frightened and weak
never allowed
never to speak.

the pain is there
heavy and deep
when awake
and when asleep

i could wish
just for now
or find a way
to figure out how

never to run
but quick to judge
aways just as sweet
just as sweet as fudge
