  • Leaving, third time is not a charm

Leaving, third time is not a charm

The first time it happened,
I proved my love for you,
By bringing us together again,
And making it happen.

The second time made me a fool,
For crying like a baby with drool,
And fortifying my love for you,
That nothing will ever bring us apart.

But love is like emotion,
Even if all appears all and well,
It can change before you know it,
And like that, you go just as well.

Life does imitate art so well,
And so it goes, the third time,
It does not go so well,
For the boy who cried wolf, and us as well.

The life force of love is gone inside,
And only feelings of betrayal and loss reside,
The time passes me by,
Without thinking I should go to your side.

But as much as I wish to put away my pride,
I can't help but feel the pain I have inside,
And so I wait for you this time,
But it is only time that passes me by.
