Love Guides me

i drive in the dark and wonder where i am ~
where i am headed
and if my map shows my destination.
Will it lead me to the haven i seek?
Lights of the refuge i crave shine before me.
It seems that as i reach out my arms,
they move away ~
dancing from my grasp.
i feel overwhelmed with emotion and loss,
the journey lasts forever in my mind.
It is endless.
Doubts push to my concious.
i will never know.
i will never attain what i look
for so frantically.
i will never even know what i seek.
i will never know.
Despair is welling within me and suddenly
the lights envelope me in warmth
and love.
Then i see.
i am what i seek.
And i know, it matters not what i am.
It only matters who i am ~
labels only serve to limit me.
Love guides me.
