Love is a Question

Do you love me; do you love me not?
You told me once but I forgot
You say you do but is that true
I want to believe you, truly I do

But as the saying goes
Actions speak louder than words
Where are the chocolate, gifts and roses?
The memorable pictures with all the poses

I love you it’s as plain as the sky
But you love me by and by
I care for you as you can plainly see
But if you were asked the question, you wouldn’t quite agree

I wrote this poem, just for you
Just to see if you would know what to do
But just as too many cooks spoil the pot
Do you love me or do you love me not?
