Night of the Blue Moon

To hear this poem, .

* * *

Do you remember?
I ask that question
Only
Of those under
A blue moon, lost between
Here
And
There. Do you remember?
A parcel of
Moonlight cascading across
Your memories.
The candle in the
Corner, tracing
Our silhouettes against a
Dreamer's window,
Flickering, imitating our eroticism,
Then blowing itself
Out, with a kiss.

I named a
Star after us, once.
Lover's delight.
Do you remember?
It happened that one time,
After we lived a universe of
Pleasure.

Do you remember?
The night angels laughed
With us,
So long ago;
Caressing the moonlight
Like I caressed
Your skin with my
Breath.

Do you remember?
The night our voices
Whispered as
One.

Do you remember?
I have forgotten.
We wanted to relive
That night,
But we're not here, or there,
Anymore.

Do you remember?
The night the blue moon turned its back,
And we walked away.
