Progression

Needing something means you want
Other times just hungry
Not TV, nor TV dinners,
But tangerine after squirting tangerine

Election day comes every day
In love,
Need of affection, smooth shoulders
Strong child bearing hips to lean on

Mysterious gray ladies of fancy twist
Unusual gentlemen, hands in pockets
Stroking their fathers watch bob watch
Every movement to pockets,
Towards any tint of grayness

Looking through windows defines life till now
Gifts that end up in my grasp
Forgotten encounters with givers of prayer beads,
Laughing children song,

Now the museums of our lives live on shelves
In boxes with flapped tops,
And digitized, and
In others hands and memories and stuck drawers,
In the reflection of windows
Never meant to mirror
