Sorrow and Tears

Do you want to take me as yours;
Make my spirit soar?
Teach me to serve and please as you desire;
Setting my very soul on fire?
Do you want to strip me of all my fantasies, dreams and fears;
Leaving me more vulnerable, than I have ever been in years?
Will you promise to help me be free;
As you promise to never leave me?
Will you unleash my desires from deep within;
Only to crush them just after we begin?
Do you want to tell me it's you I can trust;
Only for me to learn later, it was unjust?
Will you promise from the start;
To heal my battered and broken heart?
You can't, It's gone;
There's nothing left to build upon.
