Tangled Up in Texas

Tangled up in Texas
This state that is my home
Trouble in my soul
But no place left to go.

My family's been here forever
They tell me not to roam
Help's around the corner
You just need to call home.

Tangled up in Texas
My heart upon my sleeve
Sit here the last 10 years
Just watching love leave.

I reached the place
Where I truly did not see
That going through the motions
Was not good enough for me.

Tangled up in Texas
Still don’t have a clue
Please God show this poor boy
What he should do.

If I could find the woman
That heals my wounded soul
I heed my family’s words
And surely would call home.

I say to each and every
That the curses from the past
And demons from the darkness
Were always meant to pass.
And love has found my heart at last.
