The Bite

People change- evolving, revolving around nothing at all
Sometimes you think you have it all in place-
Maturity and insecurity and then it begins again
But the past is like a blanket that you can’t recall
Sleeping endlessly on a warm summer’s day
Coming from a building 36 stories tall
It ain’t nothing but a thing- I think
(ending the beginning and beginning the end)
And then I kiss her and take the fall
Venomous and voluptuous-
It’s that damn hourglass on her stomach
Eight legs- and a million eyes
Piece by piece she brings down my wall
But like the male of the species
I’m lured in by the widow- smaller but tall
I can’t resist the taste of her sweet bite
But the times change but they always stay the same
The will to live all but gone- and no will to fight
I will fuck her and then die
Like the male of my species
36 stories high
It ain’t nothing but a thing- I think
(the end is only the beginning)
I swallow my fear
And then I fly
