The Darkened Road I Travel

Like a dark road

Traveling alone in the night

Wondering were next I would stop

Little enticed me to remain

In the previous places I had been

But little asked me to continue

To see whereas I could go

What purpose did it serve?

To travel this long path

At the end you're to find happiness

But when, and where

Then there seemed to be a light

And much seemed to be clear

Day seemed to be coming

And all would be revealed

When the day came,

Happiness came too

I only hope to have it again

For even as the day came,

The night was returning again

For the day is filled with happiness,

But it lasts a fleeting moment,

Before the night returns

The night is cold and lonely

And through that travels my road.

Like a dark road

Traveling alone in the night

Wondering were next I would stop

Little enticed me to remain

In the previous places I had been

But little asked me to continue

To see whereas I could go

What purpose did it serve?

To travel this long path

At the end you're to find happiness

But when, and where

Then there seemed to be a light

And much seemed to be clear

Day seemed to be coming

And all would be revealed

When the day came

Happiness came too

I only hope to have it again

For even as the day came

The night was returning again

For the day is filled with happiness

But it lasts a fleeting moment

Before the night returns

The night is cold and lonely

And through that travels my road.
