The Letting Go

What is it? This letting go?
Does it ask me to trust in the unknown of the moment?
I thought I knew before…
When promises and pain intertwined within my mind
I can choose another way…
maybe settle for less than…
Or
Hope for better than…

The need to know simmers always inside…

The Warrioress of the bruised before
stands always ready to protect
The walls of self
to save herself from unknown attack
Or
Perhaps from attack known too well before…
From where do the arrows really come?

The awesome power of this illusion is the battle itself…
The enemy unseen…

She clings to the frayed and battered ropes of her experience
As if a life line for the now…
They are the illusion, the ropes of her past disintegrated long ago
In a far away place.
They cannot save her now
though they never really did
But still she dangles from them
poised over the turbulent seas
Of a tomorrow unknown…
She could let go
she could loose the ties of unreality…
But what price will she pay for the fall?

Will she tumble into the depths of Hell?
Or
Be lifted to the heights of Heaven?

The Warrioress cries out
Hold on, hold on tight
the fortress must not fall!
The battle rages on…

A little girl sighs, as in a dream
she opens her arms in Faith and trust…
Let go, Let go beloved one
the angels will set you free…

She leaps… Warrioress and Angel become one…
