Where The Shadows Play

Come with me my Lady, come with me.
There is something I want you to see,
I know you will like what I have to show,
It is a place where all the dark ones go.

Come and see my Lady, come and see.
There you can be you and I can be me.
It’s where music makes the people sway.
It’s where the shadows come to play.

Come on my Lady see what I have found,
This subterranean palace beneath the ground.
I know you’re tired and your bed you need,
But come with me and on the dark energy feed.

We can watch from over to one side,
Or in a darkened corner we can hide.
Wait and watch from the gloom
And choose prey from the shadowy room.

Lean on me my Lady, lean on me.
You look so weak, and this I cannot see.
Please come with me and join the fray.
Please come to where the shadows play.

Authors note:

This is a very early poem of mine about a place that the Ascension club in my Tale of Two Switches story is based on. It was written to a very special Lady in my life and it holds a lot of hidden meanings. I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing.
