Fred said, "Of course!"

Ellen took a sip of wine and kissed Fred gently. "...and stay over for breakfast Sunday morning?"

Fred looked at the picture of the four couples, and at his wife. He thought back to their vacation and smiled. "Sweetie, call Liz and tell her we'll bring the orange juice and pastries."

We hope you enjoyed reading Part 2 as much as we had fun reminiscing about how we came to be such_good_friends. We count our blessings that we found each other and shared wonderful times together these past few years. Surely some of you are wondering why we have chosen this time to share our story.

You might recall from the first installment that Gina has a kidney transplant. One of the complications of the immunosuppressive treatment for transplanted organs is a cancer called lymphoma. She was diagnosed just after Thanksgiving. She is responding to chemotherapy, but it's been hard on her and on all of us. We wrote --at least in part—to keep her busy and thinking about happier times. In fact, Gina was the one who wanted us to share it with you.

After reading this submission, she said "I'll keep reading and editing if you'll keep writing." So we pass that sentiment on to you, our readers. We'll write more -- but it depends on your votes and notes.

Let us know.
