A Dream of Empire Ch. 002

"You will know how you ruin me, Talos!" Alanna scolded as she walked towards his horse to retrieve something to dry off with.

"I already do!" Talos replied with a grin, rising to his feet to saunter towards her with arms outstreched. He locked lips with the beautiful enchantress when he'd arrived. Alanna and Talos soon forgot all of nature, of drink, and of modesty in each other's arms.

Emmanuel broke into song when the pair guided one another gently to the grassy floor, Talos' clothes torn being away hastily by the sorceress. The bard found the sight far more wonderous and inspiring than the falls.

"There was a maid, down by the falls,

That meandered to the sea;

I found the courage to gaze at her,

And what I saw frightened me.

We laughed that night, we spoke of lust,

Our embraces filled with wonder;

I knew that night, she's the one to trust,

When she kissed me as I loved her!"
