She kissed my neck, softly. "Then I'll try to make your journey worthwhile. And if you crash, I'll make sure you go down in a blaze of glory."

I pulled her arms tighter around me. "That's what I'm afraid of."

Spent as I was, sleep was already trying to claim me. I could still hear Lisa, but I was too tired to respond.

"No," she whispered, "not a train. It's going to be a roller coaster."
