Corporate Family Dinner Ch. 04

Bob came upstairs soon but ignored me and headed straight for Jules. He spent a solid 30 minutes with her then came out of her bedroom and back downstairs. I started to speak to him, but he absolutely froze me with just a headshake and the words "not tonight, Jules is already asleep and I need mine too. Big day tomorrow." And he gave me a twisted and almost evil half sneer grin. Then walked downstairs. He had never seemed as powerful - even mean and cruel and scary - as he did right now. Much scarier than Walter or NRG or even BM. Even though my body still ached in so many places. I would have given anything if he just taken me, on the floor, right then and there. But he didn't and I just collapsed in a heap and wept - some more.
