Either way, the records prove Lynn's death, due to a fever, in 1903 at 39; Judeth died from accidental poisoning in 1913 at the age of 42. Verena however, outlived Benjamen Rector, who died of old age in 1963 at 69. However, there was no recorded date of Verena's death or by what cause, nor any records that tell us what ambitions she followed for the rest of her life. Regardless, we do know that, upon her death, thanks to a Dr. Marinus Craw, her body was finally posed next to her husband and brother.

I, of course, inspected Verena Rector's tomb on my own visit, hoping to uncover a date of death on the headstone, but all I unveiled from the lichen and dust was her final message:

I reason to believe in life over the illusion of it, even if I was made out of another idea.
