I looked at her and said "How did you know about Janice?" She said, "Well, I called work to find out when you would be coming home, cause I wanted you to bring home some groceries and they told me you were with Janice."

"Oh, you know mom, she is someone who I met in the store, nothing special, no one will ever be as special as you are mom."

She looked at me and smiled, "Honey, why don't you invite Janice home someday, maybe the two of us can get to know her better!" Then she winked at me.
