Stranded Ch. 03: Ancient and Primal

123

A week after the boat had crashed, they were still stranded, with no signs of rescue. They discussed daily how the search effort might be going. They made up different excuses for why it was taking so long. They all tried to keep their optimism high, except for Diana, but it was quite evident that they were all scared. The one thing everyone was truly terrified of, and no one would say it aloud, was the idea that no one was looking for them at all.

They had paid well to be on the boat that had crashed, but they no longer had any illusions as to whether Captain Marcel had been a good captain. Chris knew nothing of the sea, but he had seen the storm coming. He had warned the captain, to no avail. He knew that it was entirely possible that no distress signal had gone out, and no one back on the mainland had noticed them missing. He hoped that if that was the case, eventually someone would notice Captain Marcel missing, and send someone to look for the boat. But even in that scenario, it was unlikely that they would come to this specific island looking for stranded people.

Chris never said it aloud, and he hoped the girls weren't even thinking it, but he knew it was quite plausible that no rescue was coming for them. He guessed they would be found eventually, but knew that it could be weeks, months, or even years away. All that was out of his control though. He didn't see any way of getting them rescued. But what he could control, and he had every intention of doing so, was keeping these women alive.

He knew how much they all depended on him. He didn't exactly relish the notion that he was responsible for the lives of four women, and one very kind old man. But he also knew it was better him than someone else. He had joined the army to help people, and save them, and protect them. That wasn't exactly what he had ended up doing during his time of service, but that virtue still resonated with him. He would keep these people alive at all costs.

And it wasn't exactly like he wasn't being rewarded for his efforts. In his one week on this island, he had slept with Kelly almost every night. He had also been receiving very high quality blowjobs from Heather. He hoped he had managed to keep those secret thus far, but he wasn't so sure. Everyone seemed to know that he and Kelly were sleeping together, but he tried to keep Heather's contributions between the two of them.

He didn't want to find out what would happen if the girls started fighting over him. That idea did seem kind of hot, but also extremely dangerous. He knew it was better to keep it secret. In truth, he knew he should stop things with Heather straight away, and just be with Kelly. She was everything he had always wanted in a woman. But Heather gave really great blowjobs. The first one was spectacular, and the two since then had been even better. It was almost like Heather was trying to suck his loyalty to Kelly right out of him. And it seemed to be working. He still loved his time with Kelly, and had no intention of ending it. But he also wasn't planning on stopping things with Heather, despite knowing it would be for the best.

The one thing that he knew was going to complicate the entire situation, was Stacey. He really hadn't had any private time with her since the crash, but he saw the way she looked at him. And he liked to look at her too. She wasn't naturally beautiful like Kelly, or pretty in a homely way like Heather. What Stacey was, was sexy. Her body was incredible. Chris had never liked the look of fake tits before. He had thought they always looked the way Diana's looked. But Stacey's fake tits were awesome. They were huge, and round, and didn't look cartoonish at all. He guessed that eventually something would happen between her and him, and he didn't know how that would go.

A part of him wished he could just go straight old school. He could declare himself king of the island, and then make all of the women his consorts. He could rule over this little pile of rocks with a harem of sexy women, and no one to contest him. He could make them all sleep with him, and with each other, all at the same time. He knew he could if he wanted to, he had the physical capabilities, and there was no one else to stop him. But he was still a good guy. He didn't want to force anyone to do anything, especially when they would likely do it willingly. Maybe he could work out a way of them all agreeing to let him sleep with them all. But that didn't seem to be the way things stood now.

Chris walked out onto the beach, feeling the warm morning sun beating down on him. Heather and Kelly were both down the beach, gathering palms, while Howard and Stacey sat by the fire, preparing the fish Chris had caught the day before. Diana was lying in her cot, as she always seemed to be. She was the only one not even attempting to help. She ate what Chris provided, though she usually complained about it, and she sat by the fire when everyone else did, though she usually complained about that too. Chris thought that he would need to get her to help at some point, but he didn't want to make things contentious just yet.

"Good morning Christopher," Howard said as Chris walked over to the fire. "It looks as though the clouds have cleared a bit. Perhaps that storm you feared will miss us after all."

"Maybe," Chris sighed, looking up at the mostly clear sky. The night before the clouds had looked quite ominous, and he had feared another storm. He still thought it might come, but for the time, it seemed to be clear. "We still need to prepare though. Even if the storm doesn't come today, or tomorrow, there will be another storm. And I want us to have better shelter when it comes."

"Right you are," Howard nodded. "We'll need quite a lot more palms than we have now in order to create any type of real hut, and many sturdy sticks as well."

"We're gathering them as best we can," Stacey said, speaking for the rest of the women. It had become their job to do the gathering, while Chris did the hunting, and Howard looked after the camp. Chris thought it was probably the way most of society functioned in truly ancient times. And he could see why. So far, it was working out well.

"I know," Chris nodded. "We're all doing a good job, considering our circumstances. Well, most of us are anyway," he added, throwing a side-eyed glance over at Diana, who was lying in her cot, awake.

"She'll come around," Howard said softly. "Give her time."

"Chris is right," Stacey said, also glaring over at Diana. "She should be helping too. None of us want to be doing any of this. I don't want to be gathering sticks and tree branches all day in the baking sun. I'm supposed to be on a vacation with my husband. But he's dead, and I'm here, and I'm doing my part. We all are. Except her."

"We can't force her to help," Howard sighed.

"No, but we don't have to give her food," Stacey pointed out. "Everyone else is earning their keep, except her."

"Slow down," Chris said, not wanting Stacey to get too worked up. "We don't need to start starving people. There's only six of us, so we need to stick together, even if she's not helping."

"It's bullshit," Stacey said angrily. "I'll give her one more day of sitting around mooching off of us, and then I'm going to go off."

Chris looked over at Howard, who seemed to be sharing his thoughts. Neither of them wanted the women to start fighting, but they also knew better than to start telling the women what to feel, or not to feel. It was a delicate situation, and they had to treat it delicately.

"Christopher, what are your plans for today?" Howard said, clearly trying to change the subject before Stacey got too mad.

"Well, we still have enough fish from yesterday," Chris said, looking over at the small pile of fish he had amassed the day before. He had gotten quite good at it. He and Heather would swim out to the spot he had found, and he would dive down to skewer fish, while she looked out for sharks. And then when he was done fishing, she would give him one of her excellent blowjobs. Chris had learned to really enjoy fishing. But he wanted to try to catch some red meat.

"I think today I'll go inland," Chris went on, pointing into the island. "I know there are animals out there. The first day, when I was searching for fresh water, I saw a wild hog. If I can kill one of those, we'll eat really good."

"I could eat some pork," Stacey nodded hungrily.

"That would be more complicated than you might think Christopher," Howard pointed out. "Even if you managed to kill a wild boar, you would then need to clean it, and butcher it. Much of the meat would likely rot before we ever got it eat it."

"I know," Chris nodded. "But it's worth a try. And if I do kill one, we don't just get meat. We can use the pelt for a blanket, or even just for part of our shelter. And I can use the bones. I could make much better tools out of bones than rocks. If I can manage it, it'll be worth it."

"I suppose when you put it like that, it is worth a try," Howard nodded, looking impressed.

"Do you think I can come with you?" Stacey asked.

"Uh, I don't know," Chris said, feeling alarm bells go off. He knew Kelly wouldn't like that. And he also thought Stacey might be more of a hinderance than help when it came to hunting.

"I won't get in your way," Stacey insisted. "And I can help. I'll do anything you want me to," she added. Chris glanced over at her, and saw her staring into his eyes with a rather longing look. He glanced over at Howard, who also clearly noticed, but didn't say anything.

"I'll think about it," Chris said. "I'm not going to head out for another hour or two."

"Ok, well think about it hard," Stacey said, and then gave Chris a wink. She stood up, and walked off down the beach to help the other girls. Chris couldn't help but stare at her big juicy ass as she walked away. When she was far away, he looked back at Howard, who was frowning at him.

"Sorry," Chris said sheepishly, knowing he had been caught staring.

"You don't have to apologize to me," Howard chuckled. "I'm a man. I have eyes. But you need to be careful Christopher. Women are fragile, and yet much stronger than you might think. I know you and my daughter have been together. And I believe you and Heather may be doing more than just fishing out on those rocks."

"I didn't..." Chris began, feeling his neck burn red.

"I'm not telling you what you can and cannot do," Howard said, holding his hand up and interrupting Chris. "You're a young man, stranded on an island with three very beautiful women. And you're keeping us all alive. What's taking place here is something rather ancient and primal. You've tapped into a dynamic of humanity that is rarely found in today's day and age. These women will all want to be with you. And I'm sure you will want to be with all of them too. But these are women that grew up in modern society. They most likely do not understand the primal essence of what is happening here. It has to be up to you to keep the peace. I'm not telling you not to do anything, just be aware of the fine line you're walking. And do try not to let things get out of hand."

"I will," Chris nodded. He was glad that this old man was with them. He was too old to be much of a physical help, but with his age came wisdom. It was nice just to have another man to talk to, who understood what was going on. Chris still didn't know the answer of how to handle the girls, but he was glad to get some advice from someone.

"My daughter is not usually a jealous woman," Howard added. "But she has never been stranded on an island with a man she cares for, and two other women who also want that man. None of us have experienced any of this before. We're in quite uncharted waters for our time Christopher. And much of it will come down to you, and your actions, and decisions."

"I know," Chris nodded, feeling a little awkward at Howard speaking of his daughter so openly. "I'm just trying to do my best. I would be more than happy to just be with Kelly. She's amazing. I mean really great. I could see myself being with her outside of this place. But Heather already likes me too, and I think Stacey does as well. I don't know if you've ever had to turn attractive women down before, but it's not exactly easy."

"I'm sure it's not," Howard chuckled. "And I appreciate that you care for my daughter. But all three of them want you, and they will fight over you if they have to. It's up to you to keep that from happening."

"How do you think I should do that?" Chris asked, genuinely hoping the old man would have an answer.

"I'm not sure," Howard sighed. "Like I said, these are uncharted waters you're wading through. I suppose for now, the best you can do is keep them all happy." Chris wasn't quite sure what to make of that. It almost sounded like the old man was giving him permission to cheat on his daughter, so long as everyone stayed calm.

"So, do you think I should take Stacey hunting with me today?" Chris asked.

"It may be for the best," Howard nodded. "That woman is going to make her move on you one way or another. Better it be far away from the others, where you can have private time. Rather like you've done with Heather."

"I'm really not this kind of guy," Chris said, wanting the old man to believe him. And it was true. He had never been with two women even close to the same time. Chris had always either had a girlfriend that he was faithful to, or had very sporadic hookups. And now he was getting blown by one girl in the afternoon, and fucking another at night. It wasn't like him at all.

"I can tell," Howard smiled. "And if things were simpler, I have no doubt that you would handle this quite well. But this is not the world we grew up in Christopher. This is the ancient world of a forgotten time, and you're dealing with things that are foreign to all of us. I wish you well son."

"Thanks," Chris sighed. Speaking with Howard made him feel better, but also a little overwhelmed. The old man had a way of speaking that made Chris feel somewhat helpless.

"Take Stacey with you today," Howard said. "I'll speak with Kelly. And I'll make sure we get some things done around here as well. Perhaps I'll even try to get Diana up and about today. You just work on catching that pig, and if something should happen with you and Stacey, just try and keep it between the two of you."

"I'll try," Chris sighed. They sat by the fire a while longer, watching the crystal blue waters move peacefully, and thin white clouds gently drift across the blue sky. This island really was a beautiful place. If there was a nice hotel, with beds, and food, and safety, people would pay good money to be sitting where they were sitting. But as beautiful as the island was, it was empty. The only beds would be the ones they made. The only food the food the caught. And there would be no safety, except that which Chris could provide.

When the girls came walking back up the beach, laughing and chatting together, Chris skewered a few fish and let Howard cook them. They all ate a nice breakfast together, except for Diana, who was still lying in her cot, not speaking to anyone. When Chris announced his hunting plans for the day, Howard suggested that Stacey join him. Kelly and Heather both looked like they didn't like the idea. But because neither Chris nor Stacey had been the ones to suggest it, they took it in stride. They both agreed to continue their gathering, while Howard maintained the camp and the fire.

Not long after they finished eating, Chris led Stacey inland for the first time. He had only gone inland twice since arriving, and he already knew it was dangerous. There were more bugs inland, as well as all manner of other creatures. Chris hoped that neither of them would get bitten, or injured in any way. Getting hurt on this island could very well mean death. Even getting bitten by the wrong bug could be deadly. If they caught malaria, there would be nothing to do for it.

Once they had walked for nearly an hour, Chris began instructing Stacey on what to look for. He wanted to find tracks from one of the larger animals, and begin his hunting. He had been hunting since he was a boy, only in a much more modern sense. The hunting he had always done involved rifles, not makeshift spears. But the tracking process was not so different. He hoped once he caught a trail, he might be able to track down whatever made it.

Stacey, for her part, was being helpful. She was an extra pair of eyes and ears, and most importantly, she wasn't complaining. Chris would have expected it from her, based on the little he knew about her. His first impression of her had certainly been a poor one. She had seemed like a rich, stuck up, ditsy trophy wife. She certainly had the look, with her big fake boobs, and rather oversized ass. On the boat she had been wearing a heavy amount of makeup, and clinging to the arm of her rich husband.

Since that first day however, she had proven to be far more adaptable than Chris would have thought. She didn't complain about the conditions, or lack of food options. She took what Chris gave her graciously, and helped out as much as anyone. Her makeup had long since washed off, and Chris found that she did have a natural beauty about her. It wasn't the same kind of beauty she clearly strived for, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

Her long black hair hadn't been washed in a week, and it was starting to give her a much more natural look. Chris could tell that she normally gave herself an artificial tan, but a week in the sun had given her a real one. Her skin had bronzed much faster than the others, and she now looked more Greek than she had before. Her dark eyes and dark hair matched her bronze skin, and gave her an air of natural beauty that she likely never would have strived for in her life. Chris thought she looked much better than when they had first arrived. Her body didn't need any improvement. It was obvious that she worked out, and made sure to stay in good shape. She had better, tighter abs than any of them, and they just made her big fake tits look even better.

"Hey, look at this," Stacey called out, bending down to see small hoofprints in the dirt. Chris waked over, and bent down next to her. He examined the prints, and nodded his head.

"I think this is it," he smiled. "Good job."

"I told you I could help," Stacey smiled back. She seemed to be more at ease than when they had arrived. She was clearly still dealing with the loss of her husband, but she was doing so much better than Chris would have thought. He knew they had been recently married, and he wondered how much she had actually cared for the man. She didn't seem to be dealing with the loss of a true loved one. It was more like she was dealing with a major shift in her lifestyle, which they all were.

"You were right," Chris nodded. "I'm glad you came along. Stay behind me now, I'm going to try to follow the tracks. Keep your eyes and ears sharp. The closer we get, the more of a chance there is that something might try to attack us."

Stacey looked a little shocked by that, but she nodded, and stood behind Chris. He began moving along the ground, following the tracks, making sure not to lose them as they weaved and winded through the thick brush of the island. It was slow going, as he wasn't a professional tracker by any means, but he kept the trail. There still wasn't any actual signs of the animals themselves, but at least they were hunting now. The tracks led further inland, toward one of the high cliffs of the island. Chris followed the trail, until it led them out of the bushes, and into a large opening next to the cliff.

Water was cascading down the cliffside, creating several trickling waterfalls, all of which ended up in a large pond. Chris walked over and examined the water, tasting it on his fingers. It was fresh water, though it didn't look as clean as he would have liked. It was a very lovely pond though. It was large enough that it could even be considered a lagoon. It reminded Chris of the blue lagoon, and he had to smile to himself, knowing that he had not one, but three beautiful women on this island with him.
