Chapter One - The Change

The change had come on suddenly. One night Sonya seemed to be a little down when she got home form work and you tend to notice things like that after eight years of marriage. I asked her what the problem was and she just said that she had a stressful day at work. I accepted her answer but suspected that there was more to it than that. Sonya just doesn't let stress at work get her down.

The next several days were the same, Sonya seemed to be depressed when she came home from work and she didn't want to talk about it. She said nothing was wrong and that she was just a little tired. What struck me as being the most curious was that she wouldn't look at me when we were talking. After five days of this Sonya seemed to bounce back to her normal upbeat self but I still sensed something was wrong.

Normally when Sonya and I got home from work we would fix ourselves a drink and sit down and talk about our day. Sonya always enjoyed telling me about the things that went on in the office where she worked. I enjoyed hearing her stories because I had worked there with her for five years before I left to take a job in mergers and acquisitions for a national bank, so I knew all of the people she talked about either from my time with the company or from the many parties we attended with them.

After that first time Sonya came home seemingly depressed, she didn't talk about work as much. It wasn't that Sonya didn't talk to me at all it is just that her joking about the silly things that went on in the office had stopped. It seemed that Sonya only wanted to talk about what was on the television or issues that we needed to discuss regarding the house or bills that had to be paid. One of the best things about our marriage was that we had always been able to talk and be open with each other but for some reason I could not get her to open up about what ever was bothering her.

Sonya works for Stanley Applications (SA), a software development company in North Carolina and as I mentioned earlier I worked there with Sonya for five years. Sonya was a project executive and I was in sales. Sonya had already been there about a year when I joined SA and I remember that on my first day on the job I saw a tall, very attractive brunette standing at the copier and I remember thinking that I hoped that I would get to meet her.

I didn't actually meet her until I had been there over a month. Mr. Stanley, who started SA, likes his employees to be happy so about four times a year he has a big party for the employees. It was at my first party that I finally met Sonya. I saw her as soon as I arrived at the party but she was talking with a group of friends and I didn't want to approach her in front of them in case she rejected me. I was the new guy and I didn't want to make a fool of myself in front of several other employees. So I made my way to the bar to get loosened up a little and give myself a chance to make sure she didn't have a date with her.

I was working on my second drink when I noticed Sonya standing by herself on the other side of the room. I was staring at her and trying to get my feet to move so I could go over and introduce myself to her when she suddenly turned and looked in my direction and when our eyes met we both turned away quickly. I felt stupid. I should have at least smiled at her and nodded my head.

When I looked again she was talking to Julie, another project executive, and I noticed she tipped her head in my direction as if she were indicating that she wanted Julie to look at me or at least in my direction. Julie did turn toward me and I quickly looked away again and moved toward the bar to get another drink.

When the bartender handed me my drink I turned around to see if I could spot Sonya again and when I did I bumped into Julie, who had suddenly appeared right next to me, and almost knocked her over. I grabbed her arm to keep her from falling and then I noticed that Sonya was standing right behind Julie.

Before I could recover from the shock of almost knocking her over Julie said, "John, I don't think you have met Sonya yet, have you?"

"No. I haven't."

"John, this is Sonya Johnson," Julie said. Sonya works with me in the project department. Sonya, this is John Anderson, he's the new guy who tries to sell the crap we make."

I took Sonya's offered hand and told her how very glad I was to meet her. Then I asked the girls if they would like a drink. Sonya said that she would like a glass of wine and Julie said that she didn't need anything.

When I returned from the bar with the glass of wine for Sonya I saw Julie disappearing into the crowd. As I handed the glass to Sonya I made a mental note to thank Julie for introducing me to Sonja.

Sonya and I spent the rest to the evening together and when the party broke up I walked her to her car. I held the door open as she got into the car.

"Would you like to have dinner with me tomorrow evening?" I asked.

Sonya said, "Tomorrow is Sunday."

"Oh, you have plans then?"

"No. It's just that Sunday isn't the usual night for a dinner date is it?"

"Oh right," I said and then felt really stupid. I was in too big a rush to get a date with her and ended up looking foolish.

"Dinner tomorrow night would be lovely," she said and she opened her hand bag and got a pen and a scrap of paper and wrote down her telephone number.

"Call me tomorrow if you still want to take me to dinner," she said as she handed me the scrap of paper.

I couldn't get the smile off my face as I closed her door and watched her drive away.

That Sunday evening, after dinner we went back to Sonya's apartment and watched some television and talked. Mostly we talked. I just felt so comfortable with her and I felt that she was also comfortable with me.

I got up to go home at eleven o'clock and Sonya walked me to the door. At the door I kissed her and it felt so good I tried to kiss her again but Sonya pushed me away. For a moment I wondered what I had done wrong.

Sonya said, "Down boy. Another couple of kisses like that and I would be in trouble. Save you kisses for next weekend you may need them if you expect to get lucky."

Then she pushed me out the door.

"I'll see you at work tomorrow," she said as I left.

That week we went out to dinner on Wednesday night and to the movies on Friday night. When I took Sonya home Friday night I asked her if I could come in for a while.

"Not tonight, she said. "Tomorrow night I am making you dinner. Be here at seven o'clock. You bring the wine and I'll provide the dinner. Oh yeah, and what would you like for breakfast Sunday morning?"

"For breakfast Sunday morning? I will have you."

Sonya laughed and then kissed me. This time we stood at the door kissing for about ten minutes before she pushed me out the door.

As I was leaving Sonya said, "Call me when you get home."

I did as she asked and we talked for more than an hour. We had only been together four times but I was already in love with her.

Saturday night I showed up at Sonya's apartment at seven o'clock with a bottle of red wine, a big appetite and an erection. Sonya had made a delicious lasagna for dinner and I had two helpings.

"How does a nice Swedish girl like you make such good lasagna," I asked her.

"I have dark brown hair and brown eyes, what makes you think I'm Swedish," Sonya replied.

"I love Swedish girls so you must be Swedish."

"How do you feel about Swedish girls who are half Italian?"

"I love them even more," I said.

I helped Sonya clean up and then she took me by the hand and led me to the sofa. I sat down and Sonya sat cross legged on the sofa facing me. She took my hands in hers and looked straight into my eyes.

"I don't know what it is about you but somehow I know you are right for me," Sonya said. "I have only had three boyfriends before you and that goes all the way back to high school. I have never been as excited about being with any of them at any time as I am being here with you right now."

"I feel the same way. I hope that doesn't sound insincere because it is true."

Sonya leaned forward and kissed me and then got up off the sofa.

"Since we are going to end up in the bedroom anyway," she said. Why don't we just go in there now?"

Sonya took my hand and I followed her into the bedroom. We stopped by the side of the bed and kissed. I unbuttoned Sonya's top and slipped it off her shoulders and she let it drop to the floor. Sonya opened my shirt and helped me out of it then dropped it with her top and then I watched as Sonya removed her jeans. I still get hard when I remember how sexy she looked standing there in her bra and panties. I didn't take my eyes off of her as I removed my own jeans and dropped them on the floor.

I took Sonya's face in my hands and kissed her gently and then told she that she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

"I want to make love to you every way I can think of," I said.

"That's what I want too," she said. I want to taste you. I want to feel you deep inside me. I want to make you feel as excited as I am right now."

I kissed Sonya again as I reached to unhook her bra and then I dropped it on the rapidly growing pile of clothes on the floor.

"We are going to have to work on our house keeping," I said.

"We can tidy up that mess after you make love to me," she said.

We both got on the bed and I began kissing her again. I kissed her neck and nibbled on her ears before moving down to take her nipples into my mouth one at a time. Sonya's breasts were beautiful. Not big but just the right shape with nice hard nipples and I loved sucking on them. While I was lavishing attention on her breasts I moved my hand to her inner thigh and gently massaged it as I moved my hand slowly up to her pussy.

When I reached the crotch of her panties I pressed them against her hidden treasure and I could feel the heat emanating from it. I moved my hand up to the waist band of her panties and then slipped it inside. I felt like I would explode at any moment but I did my best not to rush. I explored her body with my fingers as I slowly moved my hand down through the downy soft triangle of hair and continuing on until I reached the apex of her vagina. That point at the top where the split in her vulva ends and the clitoris hides.

I made circular motions with my fingers on this sensitive area and when her body responded to what I was doing I slipped a finger inside her moist tunnel. When her pelvis started making involuntary back and form motions I moved my head down between her legs and began tracing the out line of her love nest with my tongue.

When I penetrated her with my tongue Sonya let out a soft slow moan and took my head in her hands and pulled me tighter against her. Sonya's pelvic thrusts sped up for a moment and then stopped.

"In a hoarse whisper Sonya said, "Turn around. I want you in my mouth too."

I did as she asked and Sonya, with some difficulty, managed to release my rigid staff from my shorts and then she took it into her mouth. Although I wasn't very experienced with receiving oral sex I could tell that Sonya was not experienced either. In spite of that her oral attention felt great.

I know that I gave Sonya at least one orgasm orally because of the way her whole body stiffened and then convulsed for a few moments. I was proud of myself for giving her that gift.

I felt that I was getting very close to climax myself and because I didn't want to climax in her mouth the first time we had sex together I pull away from her and told her I wanted to get inside her.

I turned around and got on top of Sonya and she helped me find her opening and then I slowly pushed myself completely inside her. I didn't last very long that first time but it was pure heaven the whole time my cock was inside her and when I did climax it triggered another orgasm for Sonya.

Afterward we got out of bed and sat naked on the sofa watching television and finishing the wine I had brought. Then later when we both felt our sexual energy beginning to build again we went back to bed and made love for the second time that evening.

Three months after than night I moved in with Sonya and a year and a half later we got married.

Chapter Two - The Party

Married life was wonderful. We both had good jobs so money was never an issue, which eliminated one of the biggest stress factors for newlywed couples. We seldom argued and made it a point that if we did have an argument we would make up before we went to bed. At least once everyday Sonya would tell me she loved me and she was always affectionate. As time went on our sexual activity only slowed a little bit as it does for most marriages but it still excited me to make love to Sonya. Up until the point where I began this story everything was great. We had a happy loving marriage.

Over the years the people that worked at SA had become a close knit group and everyone likes to socialize together. That is why in addition to the four parties that Mr. Stanley likes to hold there were a lot of parties at people's homes during the year. Sonya and I never missed a party and had held several of them at our house.

About two weeks after this strange mood had come over Sonya we went to a party at Jim and Nora Carson's house. Most of the other guests arrived around the same time we did and I noticed the Sonya seemed to be in much better spirits as soon as we started circulating among our friends.

We had been at the party about a half hour when another guest arrived. I had never seen him before and I am sure I would have remembered him if I had. He was just over six feet tall, in good physical shape and had a full head of dark brown hair. He looked to be about my age, around thirty-three, and I guess he would be considered handsome.

As he entered the room I noticed that Sonya looked over at him and then quickly turned away. I watched as he walked over to say hello to Nora and it was obvious that he knew most if not all of the other guests.

I used my hand to turn Sonya's head toward him.

"Who is he?" I asked her.

"Tony Kaplan," she said. "He just started for SA about three weeks ago He's the new sales manager."

"You never mentioned that they hired a new sales manager," I said.

"I didn't? "Sonya replied. "I must have forgotten."

It was about twenty minutes later that Tony came over to us.

He said, "Hello Sonya, how are you?"

"I'm fine Tony, how are you?"

"Aren't you going to introduce us?" Tony said as he looked at me.

"I'm sorry," She said, "Tony, this in my husband John. John, I'd like you to meet Tony Kaplan."

Tony said, "Glad to meet you. I understand you used to work at SA."

"Yes, I did, "I said. "Nice to meet you too."

Tony gave Sonya a funny look and then said that he had to talk to a couple of people and then he moved off to join in another conversion across the room.

I turned to Sonya and said, "What was that about?"

"What do you mean?"

"You acted like you didn't want me to meet him. You didn't bother to introduce us until he asked you to. What was that odd look he gave you just before he left?"

Sonya said, "I don't know. There's just something about him that makes me feel uncomfortable. He caught me off guard and I forgot to introduce you."

"What about the look?"

"What look?"

"I am talking about the strange way he looked at you just before he walked away."

"I don't know," she said. "I didn't see it so I don't know what it meant."

"You said he makes you feel uncomfortable," I said. How does he make you feel uncomfortable? Has he done or said anything to you to make you feel that way?"

"No, he hasn't done anything. You know how some people can just make you feel that way. I think it because he is a manager and I always feel a little uncomfortable around authority figures."

There was some truth to what she said. I know she did feel uncomfortable around the managers. She is not afraid of them but just uneasy around them. So I dropped the subject.

Right after that party, things seemed to get back too normal. Sonya was her happy self again and whatever had been bothering her seemed to have resolved itself.

Two months later, in August, we decided to have a patio party at our house. We invited all the usual suspects, our friends from SA and a few neighbors. The party was set to start at six o'clock on Saturday evening. The Wednesday before the party I had to fly to Dallas for two days of meetings with a client. The bank planned a big dinner party for the meeting participants on Friday, which meant I would have to stay over and come home Saturday. The best arrangements I could, make for Saturday was a flight at one o'clock in the afternoon, which would arrive in Raleigh at 4:45 PM. This would give me time enough to get home for the party but I wouldn't be able to give Sonya much help with the preparations. I asked her if she wanted to postpone the party for a week.

"If you can get home before six o'clock," she said, I can handle the preparations with some help from Julie but you have to be here for the party."

"No problem," I said. "I should make it in plenty of time.

The Dallas meetings were successful and the Friday night dinner party was great but that is the only good news. At one o'clock Saturday afternoon I was at the gate at DFW but my plane wasn't. I called Sonya and told her I was going to be a little late.

She said, "How late? You have to be her tonight."

"They haven't told us what the problem is yet so I don't know what time we'll get out of here but I should still make the party on time."

"You better."

I said, "What's your problem? I'll be there, but why are you so worried about me being at the party?"

"I just need you here with me. I feel naked without you," she said.

"I'll be there."

At three o'clock they announced that the flight was canceled. I scrambled over to the gate agent to get on the next flight but was told that there was nothing available until the 9:05 PM flight, which would arrive in Raleigh at 12:50 AM. I could not believe this was happening. I didn't know what was going on with Sonya but I knew that this news was not going to be taken well. In spite of that I still had to make the call.

Sonya said, "You won't be home until after 1:00 AM?"

"Sorry, that's the best they could do."

"Shit," Sonya said, "this isn't fair. I need you here."

"Are you going to be all right?"

Sonya said, "I guess I'll have to be won't I?"

"Yes, I guess so," I said. "I love you."

"I love you too."

During the call I sensed a level of desperation in Sonya's voice I had never heard before. I had no idea what she was so upset about, after all the guests were all friends of hers. I had never seen her freak out this way.

I went back over to the gate agent and stood in line behind an angry businessman who was taking his frustration out on the agent. By the time he was done with his rant the agent looked pretty frazzled.

When the other man left I said, "I guess he had a bit of a gas."

The agent smiled and said, "Maybe so. How can I help you?"

I explained my problem to the gate agent and asked her if there was any other way I could get to Raleigh earlier than the 9:05 flight. I told her that I would really appreciate anything she could do to help me.

She banged on her keyboard for a bout five minutes straight and then she said, "I can put you on a flight to Memphis that leaves here in thirty minutes. From there we can put you on a 6:45 flight arriving in Raleigh at 9:50. Would that help?"

I said, "Yes. You are a life saver. Thank you so much?"

The agent looked at me and then over at the grumpy businessman she had just dealt with and then did some more typing on her computer. Two minutes later the agent handed my two boarding passes and I took off running to catch the flight to Memphis.
