Tomb Raider: Rituals Ch. 04

Josephus looked at her, the golden Chalice in hand. He smiled before looking back into it at the clear liquid inside.

"NO!" Lara yelled as he drank from it.

Josephus clutched his throat dropping the Chalice to the ground, his body lurching as his eyes became bloodshot. He ripped open his shirt as glowing blue symbols burned into his flesh down his chest and abdomen. The symbols continued up his face and to his eyes.

Lara and Will watched as he opened his eyes that were glowing a cold icy blue, his hair blowing by a wind that wasn't present; he smiled looking at them.

"This is why men cannot drink from the Chalice", Lara said, "the god Ta'munkulu, is cruel and unforgiving, he would watch the world burn. Josephus has just become an incarnation of that god."

Will Mackie looked at her...

"Shite."
