I didn't realize how much you put your heart into a story when you write it. Somehow I thought that it was mostly a creation of your mind, the work of your fingers. The emotional high when you think you've written something really clever, the anticipation when you're waiting for your story to be published, the joy when someone sends you a message saying they liked your story, the sadness when someone tells you they don't proves me quite wrong. Perhaps it's because I like writing about feelings that my own feelings are so involved or perhaps it's just the way all "artists" feel about their creations. I swear, I will never joke and laugh about a work of art again, no matter how large and dick-shaped it is.
