Battle-Hardened, War Weary Ch. 08B

"Oh damn," he whimpered into her chest.

Ryan felt charged up and exhausted at the same time. His body felt hot and energized to the point that he was vibrating. He released a few pants as an effort of calming himself down. Once the high doses of adrenaline stopped, he realized that he was still holding onto his love. He placed a kiss on the top of each tit and gave her another one on her chin. He heard Kali make a whimper before he saw her dip her head a little. She presented her lips to him. He planted his lips on her plump pout.

"Mmmm," she moaned as they both savored the moment.

As her lips continued to adore her husband's own, her pussy felt his cock twitch in her warmth. A millisecond later, she experienced his third act of arousal. Her walls embraced his member while she moaned against his mouth. She gave Ryan a few more kisses before she pulled away from him. She stared at her husband's face.

With a smile gracing her lips, she asked him "What is this?"

Ryan formed his own smile and then chuckled. "What is 'what', my dear?"

Kali used her chin to point down to where their bodies were joined. "This," she said to him as she jerked her chin to the area again. She stared at Ryan's green eyes. "What is this?" she giggled. "Is this another wedding present for me?"

He released a chortle and then he smirked. "I just love being buried inside of you," he informed his wife. "If it was up to me, I would be buried inside of you for the rest of my life."

"Mmmm," she groaned as she ran her fingers through his copper-hued hair. "That would make for an awkward funeral," she stated to him. The married couple laughed, in response. The laughter died down six seconds later. By then, Kali's fingers stopped sifting through the soft and long strands that made up Ryan's hair. Now they were gently cupping his cheeks while their owner was gazing at her husband.

The corridor was filled with silence as the two lovers gazed at each other. Kali stared at him and reflected about the day. 'Everything was beautiful,' she said to herself. 'Everything had gone to plan...' She slipped from her thoughts and focused on her husband again. There was a small smile on his reddened and sweaty face. His bright eyes were staring at her, but he appeared to be elsewhere. She assumed that her husband was swimming in the sea of his own thoughts.

Then she remembered that she had seen that expression on his face from previous moments. In her mind, she replayed some of those moments as if she was remembering scenes from a movie. Her first recollection was when he was a child. They were nine years old at the time. They were sitting on a bench that was located in a section of Central Park. It was a weekday and it was during a time when they should've been in school. He convinced her to cut school that day. He told her about his plan of running away from home. When she asked for his reasons, he became silent and proceeded to give her that look.

The second incident that she thought about was when they were sixteen years old. They were sitting at a table in the Bainbridge Academy's library. Both of them had the same 'Study Hall' period, which was a different period from his friends. She remembered the feeling of shock, when she saw that he chose to sit at the same table. It was during this class period, when she caught him glaring at her with the same facial expression. She remembered feeling slightly afraid of his creepy stare and then she wondered about his thoughts.

Then Kali thought about a couple of incidents that took place when he was a man, incidents that occurred within the past few months. She reminisced about catching him staring at her after she woke up from a session of sleep. The times that he thought that she was too occupied with her cooking and she wasn't paying attention to him. The time when she glanced away from a menu and found Ryan gazing at her as he sat on the other side of the table.

Her final memory was of Ryan, a few weeks prior. She woke up on a morning to find the father of her unborn children gazing at her. He was resting on the bed, next to her and he was staring at her. She expected for him to greet her with a 'good morning'. He remained silent instead. She figured out that her fiancée at the time was deep in thought. She didn't bother to interrupt him and she chose to remain silent until she saw the tears that leaked from his eyes. She immediately asked him about what was bothering him while she wiped away his spilled tears with her fingers. She watched his eyes grow back to life and then disappear from her sight, when Ryan moved away from her. He muttered an incoherent answer to her as moved to the edge before he stepped off of the bed. She watched Ryan disappeared into the room with the black door.

The sensation of hard nestled inside of her warmth had brought her back to the present. Her eyes were still focused on Ryan, whose eyes were closed. He appeared to enjoying the present moment. 'Wonder what you're thinking about, baby...'

A minute and a few seconds of silence had gone by before the streak was ended. "I love you, Ryan Whittler," she declared.

She watched a smile form on Ryan's lips. Her violet eyes turned their focus on his jade-colored orbs and she saw the gratitude in them. Then she heard him say, "I love you too, Kali Whittler." Kali felt a cold tingle run down her spine and her skin tingled as well, after she heard her husband announce her new surname.

"Hey," she heard Ryan whisper to her.

"What?" she whispered back.

"Do you want to do it again?" he asked her.

Kali busted out in a fit of laughter that was boisterous. The jovial sounds bounced off the walls in the forms of echoes. Gradually her laughter ended and then she nodded her head. "Yes, but I want to go to our room."

"Mmmm, yeah" he groaned.

Abruptly, Ryan stood up and he carried Kali with him. She yelped and flinched. She wrapped her arms around the thick column that was his neck to keep herself from falling. She heard her husband laugh. She felt his hips slightly pull away from her and then his prick sliding out of her sheath. The sensation of being emptied out caused her to moan. She was carefully placed on her feet. She placed some strength on her wobbly knees and trembling calves. She held onto her husband's arms as she achieved balance. She had taken a few steps away from him and watched him put his underwear and pants back on. He ended up surprising her when he scooped her up in his arms and carried her.

"OH," she screamed out as she felt her feet lift off of the floor. Her hands sought the closest sturdy thing that she could find and she held on tightly. Once she realized that her mate had picked her up, she turned her attention to him. "RYAN," she shrieked loudly before she slapped his left shoulder. "You're lucky that I love you!"

He chuckled out, "Yeah, I am one lucky son-of a-bitch! I have you and soon, I'll have my little girls!"

With his wife in his arms, Ryan Whittler had traveled from the foyer that was on the first level of the mansion to the third floor, where their bedroom was located. Once inside of their lavish bedroom, he escorted his wife to their opulent-looking bed, where they proceeded to make love again. Afterwards, they rested next to each other and in each person's embrace.

"Did you enjoy yourself tonight?" inquired Kali as she gazed at the bedroom's ceiling.

"Of course," he muttered into her left ear. "I also enjoyed our time in here as well." In response, his wife turned her focus to his face and smirked. He lightly laughed. He watched her gently shake her head for a few seconds and then turned her focus back to the ceiling.

"Did you see your sister tonight?" she asked him.

"Do you mean before or after her participation in the Cha-Cha Slide? Or were you referring to the times that she kept standing in the line for more slices of cake?"

The couple laughed.

"I'm happy that your sister was able to be here. I'm happy that she was able to enjoy herself tonight..." Kali licked her bottom lip briefly. "...I want her to be a part of our family. I want her to feel like she is a part of our family. I would like for our girls to have an auntie that they can hang out with. I would really like that."

Ryan gave his wife a kiss on her left temple. "I think she knows..." He propped his head up by using his right hand. He stared down at his wife, who continued to recline (*giggles*) on the bed. "I hope that she comes around often too, baby."

"Speaking of family, have you ever thought about your brothers--?

"What about them?" he stated as he glanced at her.

Kali noticed how Ryan's voice had gone from being warm to suddenly turning unkind. As a result, her stomach received a tightening sensation. Feeling slightly alarmed and with wide eyes, she stared at her husband. The assumption that she was treading into dangerous territory had entered her mind. Just when she was about to change her mind about delving deeper into the topic, her conscience spoke up.

'Go on girl,' her conscience told her. 'Go on and ask him. He won't get mad at you.'

She made a tough swallow and then she blew out a gust of air. "Have you...?" Her voice trailed off. She licked her bottom lip and then sighed. She resumed speaking. "Have you ever considered developing a better relationship with them?" She gently shrugged her shoulders. "They're still young and maybe they are interested in having a better relationship with you."

Ryan sighed. He scratched at his scalp before he spoke again. "Nope." He noticed that she was surprised by his blatant answer. Before she could ask for an explanation, he provided her with one. "Babe," he sighed as his left hand rubbed at his scalp. "Let me try to explain my reasons why..." His left hand rested its palm on her stomach. A millisecond later, he felt movement occur underneath his hand. The couple laughed. "Those are my girls," he said softly and with mirth in his voice as he stared at his hand. Soon, the laughter ended and Ryan resumed with his explanation. "Baby," he whispered. He glanced at his wife's vibrant eyes. "The reason why I don't want to have a relationship with my brothers is because every time I am around them, I remember the times when I was treated so badly while they were treated so differently. My mother and my step-father treated them so wonderful while I was abused. I know that I cannot be around them. I..." He sighed. "I know that it would be hard for me to be around them. I know that they think of their parents as being wonderful people and it pisses me off. Besides, they think that I am the 'bad, older brother' anyway."

"Maybe they are different---

"No," groaned Ryan. "They are like their parents, through and through."

He watched his wife's brow wrinkle as she stared at him.

"In what way?" she asked him.

Ryan removed his head from off of his hand and he rested on the mattress. He stared up at the ceiling. "My first brother, Claude," he sighed. "He's twenty-five years old, but he is definitely my mother's baby. He doesn't have a job and he considers the concept of work as being a 'dirty, four-letter word'. He has no problem living off of a monthly allowance. I know that my grandfather had high hopes for him. He expected Claude to be the 'rightful heir'..." Ryan snarled and felt disgust, when he said 'rightful heir'. "...to his estate. I will admit, I do find it to be funny that his rightful heir is a lazy, son-of a-bitch." He stretched his limbs and released a yawn. "He also is sadistic like my grandfather. I remember the times when we were kids and he would tell his father that I misbehaved, just so I could be punish..."

Kali felt a sense of anger pour out of her husband, which made her feel sad for him. She wanted Ryan to never feel any pain again.

"...My other brothers, I'm sure, probably think that I am a cross-dressing deviant—

"Or they think that you're the 'cool, older brother' that lives in the City and is living his life like a rock star," she pointed out to him. She rolled onto her left side and draped her right arm across his chest.

Ryan shifted his pose as well. He moved his right arm from the space that was in between their bodies and he placed it underneath his wife's head. He stared down at his wife. "I think it is the opposite," stated Ryan.

Kali sighed in response and then the bedroom was filled with silence.

"I made up with Katrina," she said to him.

"I know," he said softly. "I saw the two of you. I think that it's great that you two are friends again."

"We talked, but we didn't get too deep. She said that she was going to meet up with me at Mare's house, on Wednesday. She is going to help me pack up my stuff, so I won't have to do it on Thursday morning before the movers arrive."

"That's good baby. But be careful please," he suggested to her. "Doctor Gupta said that you shouldn't over-do it, when it comes to moving stuff."

"Okay, Dad" she groaned. Ryan gave her left nipple a gentle pinch as a result. She squealed from the pleasure that she received. She giggled and squirmed a little. "I will be careful, baby. Don't worry about me. The girls will let me know if I exert myself..." Kali wiggled on the mattress to get herself comfortable. "Speaking of the girls, we have to come up with a name for Baby Girl. We can't keep calling her 'Baby Girl' forever."

"I know, baby. We can name her after my grandmother. We can name her 'Andromeda'."

Kali giggled. She remembered the night in which he made the suggestion for the first time. She closed her eyes briefly and then stared at her husband. "You really want to name our daughter after your grandma, huh?"

"Mmm-hmm," he moaned as he snuggled closer to her body. "She was the reason why we met. My grandma was the person who was responsible for my enrollment into the Bainbridge Academy."

"Oh really?" she said to him with her eyes wide. "I didn't know that. I always assumed that your mom and dad enrolled you because it was a hoity-toity, fancy school." The noise of New York City entered the bedroom. The couple was silent as they listened to the sounds. "Does your grandma have a middle name?" she asked.

"Yes, she did have a middle name. It was Lillian," he informed his wife.

Kali thought about her other daughter and about her husband's deceased relative's name. She thought the name was pretty, but she thought that the name didn't suit their unborn baby. 'Oh well,' she said to herself. 'We have a few more months before she is born.'

"We have a few more months before she is born," she stated.

There was a minute's worth of silence before one of them spoke again.

"You know what we should do tomorrow?" Ryan inquired.

"What should we do tomorrow?" she asked with a cheerful voice.

"I think we should wake up early—

"UGH," she grunted, making her level of disgust evident.

Ryan laughed. He rubbed his wife's right thigh. "We can take my Benz and we should go to City Island tomorrow. I know about a very nice restaurant that is out there that we can go to. It is not too far from the beach. They serve the best food there and they have the best breakfast ever—

"The food is better than I.H.O.P.?" she asked him, sounding skeptical.

"Yes, the food is better than I.H.O.P.'s food."

"Really?" she said to him, still sounding skeptical.

"Yeah, really, the food is great there. You'll see," he said to her. It was quiet in their room for a few seconds. "And..." His voice had trailed off again. He coughed a few times. "I was thinking that after we finish with breakfast that we could go see my grandmother and my great-aunt."

Ryan felt vulnerable at the moment and it caused him to feel uncomfortable as well as insecure. He watched his wife sit up in their bed. She shifted around on the mattress and she stared down at him. He noticed that she held onto a small smile. Her facial expression caused his soul to settle and his confidence to grow back.

"I would love to visit your grandmother's and Athena's gravesites," she told him. "I understand how much those two women meant to you." She placed her right hand on his stomach. Her fingers provided a soothing caress on his stomach. "Ryan, you've told me what your grandfather had done to you after he snatched you out of my house, back when you were nine. But, you never told me about how you managed to end up living with your great-aunt. How did that happened?"

Ryan placed his hands behind his head and he rested the back of his head against his palms. He let out a sigh and glared at the ceiling. He remained silent for a few more seconds before he spoke. "A few days after he picked me up from your house, my grandfather threw me out of his home. Earlier that day, I had attacked Claude—

"You attacked your brother?" she asked him with her brow wrinkled.

"The little shit had deserved it, in my opinion."

"Why?" she questioned.

"He provoked me by breaking something that belonged to me. He did it on purpose. I ended up snapping. At that point in time, I was still harboring a grudge and hatred towards my grandfather and my mother. I hated the both of them. Anyway, Claude had broken my thing on purpose. I grew into a rage and I ended up beating up the asshole. Of course, he told his father after he managed to escape from me. I knew that my grandfather would've punished me, so I needed to do something about it...."

Kali turned to stare at her husband. She noticed that his eyes held a 'far away' look. However, his eyes were still focused on the ceiling.

"...Before my grandfather could find me and punish me, I had gone to the basement to look for a weapon. I knew that I could find something down there and I did. I found a croquet mallet in the basement in the storage closet. I waited in the basement because I was sure that the son-of a-bitch would know that I was down there. I hid by the side of the staircase with the mallet. Once I heard that he was about to hit that last step, I struck. I ended up hitting that asshole in his left knee. I only struck his knee once, but I used a lot of force behind that swing. I saw his knee go backwards..." He stopped speaking just so he could chuckle.

Kali sensed her husband's smugness. She knew that he didn't feel guilty for injuring his brother and his grandfather. Then she acknowledged that she also had felt a sense of glee in knowing that his grandfather was harmed.

"He screamed like a bitch before he fell to the ground. I knew that I had the upper hand at that moment. I took that croquet mallet and had beaten the shit out of him. I used that mallet on him for a couple of times. I didn't care where that mallet struck him. I just wanted to hear him scream out in pain. The only reason why I stopped hitting him was because my arms grew tired and I couldn't lift up that mallet again. Afterwards, the smug bastard started to shout out threats at me and he told me to get out of his house."

"You weren't afraid of being homeless?" Kali asked him. "If I would've been in your shoes, I'm sure that I would've been afraid of living on the streets."

"Honey, at that point in time, I was fed up with everything," he informed her. "So, when I heard my grandfather tell me to leave his house, I left. I considered that moment to be the only gift that my grandfather has ever given me."

"So, what did you do after he told you to leave?"

"I used an old book-bag that I own as a suitcase and I packed up all of my belongings, which was a few things and I left the mansion," he explained to his wife.

"And no one stopped you from leaving?" she inquired with disbelief. "I just find that hard to believe," she muttered. "What happened next?"

"I had managed to walk a few blocks away from the mansion, when I managed to get a ride into the City."

"So, you had hitch-hiked?!" Kali said to him with her voice raised. She stared at him with an expression of disbelief on her face. Ryan thought that his wife reminded him of a mother who was alarmed but amazed. He thought that she looked cute.
