Chapter 27: The Tree

Jenna couldn't believe what was happening. After everything that had taken place, here she was walking towards Katie's house. Her aunt's words had really stayed with her. She realized that as much as she had gone through, she was very lucky to have her aunt there. There was at least one person in the world that knew what she was going through and helped her.

After seeing Katie's mother earlier at the dinner, she knew Katie had no one. Mona wasn't the most supportive person and she was sure that Katie would never share everything with her. Jenna felt her heartbeat picking up as she turned onto Katie's street.

She had done this very walk so often in her life, yet she was incredibly nervous. She took everything in as though she had been exiled for years and was only now gaining permission to return home. Katie's house had felt like home to her for so long, she couldn't believe just how much she missed it.

The street where they learned how to ride bikes. The tree Katie had fallen off of while they played. The sidewalk they use to run to make it to the ice cream truck on time. All of these memories made their way into her mind, making her feel both nostalgic and angry. Nostalgic because she realized how much she missed Katie, and angry at how they had lost so much time.

She stood on the lawn in front of the house she once knew so well, not quite sure how to proceed. She used to climb up the side and straight into her room. She didn't know if she could still do that.

"STOP! STOP! PLEASE STOP! HELP!" She heard the yell pierce through the dark night. Jenna recognized Katie's voice and quickly ran for the front door. She wrestled with the doorknob only to realize that it was locked. She cursed aloud and tried to slam her shoulder against it to no avail.

"GET OFF OF ME!" She heard Katie yell again. Jenna quickly ran to the tree and started to climb it. Finally reaching the top, she had a look inside of Katie's room. The blonde was on her bed, an older man was all over her. Pawing desperately at her clothes as Katie did her best to fight him off.

Jenna reached for the window, her heart fluttered at the realization that it had been left unlocked. She slid inside of the room and instantly reached for one of the lamps near the bed. She only hesitated for a few moments before slamming it against the man's back.

"AHH! What the fuck!" He shouted as he fell off of Katie clumsily. He hit the floor hard, his hands and eyes wild trying to figure out what had hit him. "You fucken bitch!" He cussed aloud. Katie was shocked as she saw Jenna standing a few feet away from her. Jenna held her hand out and Katie grabbed it as the lovely asian girl pulled her to her feet.They ran out of the room and quickly went down the stairs, taking them two steps at a time.

"YOU BITCHES!" They heard coming from the top of the stairs by the time they had reached the front door. Heavy footsteps were heard following them as they burst out into the late night. The girls didn't stop running and headed into a direction they both knew oh so well.

Chapter 28: Called Into Action

Nate was smiling ear to ear when he arrived home. He pulled the car in the driveway and walked with a pep to his step. He couldn't believe how his night had turned out. From the humiliation and disappointment of what happened with Katie, to getting his very first blowjob. He couldn't help but relive each and every moment as though it were a film that was playing in his head.

As he reached the front door, he took a beat before putting his key inside. He looked back towards the old garage that he hadn't gotten close to in years. He coughed loudly as he swung his hand in front of him. Reaching up, he pulled the string, illuminating the small space with a burst of light. Nate stood in awe, remembering the long hours he had spent here. He took a deep breath, and felt like he could still smell his father. A tear came to his eye. He quickly wiped it off with his fingers as he approached the tarp. He held it between shaky fingers before pulling it off in one smooth gesture.

"Wow." He gasped loudly. The black mustang seemed as though it had been frozen in time. Absolutely untarnished from the years of neglect. It stood there waiting. For a second chance. Just like he had all of these years. Standing there looking at it, he knew that Jenna was right. He owed it to himself and his father to finish what they had begun.

The shrill from his cell phone went off. Distracting him from his thoughts. He looked at the caller I.D and smiled at the sight of Jenna's flashing name. He was glad that she couldn't wait to hear from him.

"Hey you." He said in a happy tone.

"Nate...I'm so sorry. But I need your help." Jenna sounded scared and out of breath.

"Jenna, what's wrong?" Nate asked feeling his heart race.

"Please come get us...please."

"Where are you?" Nate listened intently as she told him. "I'll be there." He said already closing the garage door and heading for the car.

Chapter 29: Forgiveness

"I have someone coming to get us." Jenna told Katie after hanging up the phone. Katie didn't respond. She was wrapped in a ball trying to hold back tears as she thought of what had almost happened. "Are you okay?" She heard her former best friend ask as she knelt in front of her, looking at her with care and worry in her eyes.

Katie didn't think she could feel worse, but seeing Jenna care for her and about her after all that had happened between the two of them, was too much for her. Quickly all of her emotions took over and she couldn't help but cry. The tears flowed freely and easily and she had nothing to hold on to...except Jenna.

"It's going to be okay." Jenna whispered in her ear as she pulled her against her chest. "It's okay." She kept repeating to the blonde who was gasping for breath in her arms.

"I'm sorry...Jenna...Jenna." Katie said breathlessly. "I never should have...I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. You...you...just saved me."

"What else was I going to do? Let my best friend get hurt?" Jenna replied with a soft smile.

"I haven't been acting like a best friend. Or any kind of friend for that matter." Jenna didn't know how to respond, so she chose to only hold her friend tighter against her. "Please forgive me."

"If we make it out of this.."Jenna began. "You will have a lifetime to make it up to me." Katie sobbed a little harder as she took in how beautiful her friend was. It stung her heart just how much she had missed her. Loud steps and grunts were heard in the hallway outside. The girls held on to each other and moved as quietly as they could towards the back of the locker room.

In their fear, they had found themselves running towards their high school. Jenna had been able to sneak them inside through the gym and the girls quickly found safety in the locker room. Unfortunately, he had followed them and was actively looking for them. The girls hid underneath the desk of the gym teacher.

"Where the fuck are you?" He yelled as he stumbled inside of the girls locker room. "You better make this easy on you and come out now. You won't like what happens if I find you." The girls held each other tight as they heard the steps getting closer and closer.

Chapter 30: Nate Helps

Nate pulled up in the school parking lot. He had driven faster then he had ever thought he would. Glad that he hadn't hit anything, he followed Jenna's directions and headed straight for the gym. He ran hard, feeling his heart and lungs pumping harder than he previously thought possible.

Seeing the gym in the distance, only made him push his body harder. Reaching the door, he slammed through it and headed towards the locker rooms. He kept his ears open for any possible noise.

"Where the fuck are you?" He heard a blistering shout come from the women's locker room. His eye widened realizing that's where Jenna was hiding. The man must be closing in on her. His mind was working overtime. He couldn't confront him head to head, that would do no good for anyone.

Nate ran back into the main area of the gym where the basketball court was. Nate threw the main door wide open as he saw the racks of balls and kicked them down. The racks made a loud shattering sound as they hit the floor. The balls bounced all over the room, creating more of a commotion. He ran behind the bleachers, so that he would be out of sight.

He saw the man rush out and look for the origin of the sound. The man was stumbling and obviously drunk. He saw the balls and the wide open door and ran for it without thinking. Nate shook his head and waited a few moments to make sure he wasn't coming back before bolting for the locker rooms.

"Jenna! Jenna!" He shouted inside of the girls locker room.

"Nate! We're here." The pretty girl said coming out from the back office. She ran towards him so happy to see him. She jumped in his arms and held him tightly. "Thank you so much for coming." She said totally out of breath.

"Of course." He told her trying to reassure her. "We have to get out of here. He'll double back soon enough."

"Right." Jenna said before turning back. "Katie let's go."

"Katie?" Nate replied.

"My friend..." Jenna said as the blonde appeared in the office door. She looked sheepishly at Nate and Jenna, embarrassment causing her face to redden. "Do you...Ohhh." Jenna said realizing what this meant.

"Let's just get out of here." Nate said. "Come on Katie. Let's go." The gorgeous blonde nodded while walking towards the pair of people she had let down. She was overwhelmed by the fact that they were both still willing to help her. Jenna held her hand and squeezed it tight as they headed towards the parking lot and Nate's car.

Chapter 31: Reassurance

Once they had pulled out of the school, Nate behind the wheel, with the two girls in the backseat, the car was silent. No one was really sure what to say or who should say something first. All three were completely lost in thought and wondered how things had twisted themselves into such a strange night.

"Should I take you guys to your aunt's place Jenna?" Nate asked looking at the two friends huddled together in the backseat. He was surprised by the bang of jealousy that hit him witnessing the sight.

"Please no..." Katie said, lifting her gorgeous blue eyes towards Nate. "I...I can't have anyone see me like this." She said struggling to hide her body. Her dress had been torn and she was doing all she could to hide her body.

"Nate, is there anywhere we can go?" Jenna asked trying not to focus on how awkward she felt being here with Katie and Nate. She knew it mustn't be easy for him to do this considering what had happened tonight. It was also hard for her to be this close to Katie and not feel her body react to it.

"I have an idea. We can probably hide out until morning, then get Katie some clothes." Nate replied as he pulled a right turn now that he knew where he was headed.

"Thank you so much." Katie said to him, hoping to catch his eye in the rearview mirror. Their eyes locked and she was hit once more with just how much she was attracted to him. He was handsome and had come to her rescue. She felt her body tremble as she saw him simply nod to her.

"It'll be okay." Her friend whispered in her ear, causing even more turmoil. Jenna smelled and felt as wonderful as she always had. The blonde had to press her thighs together to suppress all that she was feeling being around these two people who she had hurt and who had come to her rescue regardless. Two people she was desperately attracted to.

She couldn't believe what was coursing through her mind after the events of one of the worst nights of her life.

"I'm so sorry...to the both of you." She finally said. "I don't know..why I'm such a bad person. I don't deserve you. I deserved whatever he was about to do to me. " The car came to a halt. Katie looked up worried about what was taking place. She saw Nate come out of the front door and walk towards her door.

"Katie." He said looking her right in the eye. "You are not a bad person. You've made mistakes, we all have. But in no way did you deserve anything that just happened. That man has problems and he tried to take advantage of you. Tonight, we will take care of you. Tomorrow we will take care of him." He said with confidence that she had not expected.

Jenna smiled widely at the young man she had met only a few hours ago. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to have met him. She couldn't have imagined anyone else handling things so well and she was so grateful for him. Seeing him take charge like that, there was no doubt that her panties were wet beyond belief.

Nate gave the girls a reassuring smile before sliding back into the front seat and putting the vehicle back into gear. The two girls in the backseat gave each other a large smile. For a moment there, things felt like back in the day.

"He's so hot!" Katie whispered to her friend.

"Oh?" Katie said her eyes filled with lust. "Is that all he's good at?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Jenna shot back as the two burst out giggling. Nate could hear them and only smiled to himself as he drove.

Chapter 32: Reconnecting

"I'll be right back." Nate said after parking the car in front of a modest looking hotel. He left the two girls and headed inside.

"Jenna.."Katie began looking at her friend. "I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't been there for me tonight."

"Don't even think about it. I'm just glad I was there for you when you needed." Jenna said looking at her friend's beautiful blue eyes.

"You've always been too good to me..." Katie said.

"Stop." Jenna told her. "Before...before everything...you were always there for me. You always took care of me and looked out for me. When my parents were being so strict, you always found ways to get me out. You always snuck in food for me when my mom was on one of her health kicks. I always had someplace to go where I could just be myself. Without anyone judging me, without anyone wanting me to be something I wasn't." Jenna recalled. "You gave me so much."

"I've missed you so much." Was Katie's only response. The two girls held each other tightly. The time they spent apart and all of their issues seemed to dissipate in that one moment. They were simply two girls who cared deeply about one another once more.

"It's been hard without you." Jenna whispered into Katie's ear.

"I'm here now...I won't ever leave you again." Katie promised.

"Even when we are at school and everyone is making fun of me?" Jenna asked as her eyes filled with tears at the memories of the insults she had taken only earlier that night.

"Even then...I promise. I realized tonight...Nothing is more important than you. I almost knocked Carrey the fuck out."

"Did you?"

"I wanted to! I can't believe she did that to you." Katie told her.

"You didn't believe her?" Jenna asked glad to hear that.

"Of course not. I know you would never make anyone do anything they didn't want to do. Besides...who wouldn't want a taste of your pussy." Katie said with a smile.

"Stop..." Jenna said blushing madly.

"Best tasting pussy ever."

"How many pussies have you tasted?" Jenna shot back at her.

"The only one that's ever mattered." Katie responded before holding her friend and kissing her deeply. Jenna moaned caught completely by surprise before allowing herself to fall into the kiss. Chapter 33: Enter Scotty

Nate went through the back door of the hotel. He had spent most of his time here during the summer so he knew the lay out basically by heart. He reached the breakroom and walked in, finding his friend Scott messing around on his phone.

"Nate!" He said smiling widely when he saw his friend. "How was the party man? What are you doing here?"

"I need a favor." Nate quickly told him. "Are there any rooms free tonight?"

"Yeah a few. We always do." Scott answered. "Did things go well with that girl?"

"Something like that" Nate answered steathlity. "You think we could have one for the rest of the night?"

"For you buddy anything." Scott quickly ran out to the front leaving Nate by himself in the back room. This was the first moment he had alone to take a break and think about all that had happened. This night had gone completely off the rails and he could not deny that he was absolutely glad that it did.

Katie was beautiful and sexy. Clearly she had been through a lot, even before this night. There was something about her beyond her beauty that really touched him. There was this sweetness and vulnerability, he really wanted to take care of her.

Jenna, he couldn't stop thinking about and really wanted to be with her again. He was glad that she had called him, glad that he had been able to help her. To think, none of this would have been possible if he had missed that bus.

"Here you go man!" Scott said excited for his friend. "I got you the best room in the place. On the top floor."

"You sure you won't get in trouble for this?" Nate asked him accepting the key.

"Not at all. My uncle loves you you know that. Just make sure you clean up after yourself when you're done."

"Thanks Scott. For everything."

"Anytime man. Go ahead...don't keep her waiting." The two friends parted as Nate went outside. He walked towards the car with a pep in his step. That pep disappeared quickly as he reached the vehicle and saw the two girls making out. His insides went cold and he internally kicked himself. He should have known that they would have reconnected after the events from tonight.

He hung his head low and made sure to make some noise as he approached the car. The girls heard his heavy steps and broke away from each other. He pulled the front door open and got behind the wheel.

"We got a room for tonight. So we can just deal with everything in the morning." He said softly.

"Thank you so much Nate." Katie said.

"You're the best." Jenna said excitedly.

"I do my best." Was Nate's response as he parked the car in front of the hotel before leading the girls inside and towards their safe haven for the night.

Chapter 34: The Room

"You think he saw us?" Katie tried to whisper to Jenna once they had stepped off the elevator and Nate was walking ahead of them.

"I'm pretty sure." She responded only imagining what he might be thinking. Jenna was glad to have her best friend back, but it didn't mean she was prepared to just toss Nate aside. She hoped she would have the chance to let him know.

"Here we are." Nate said opening the door onto the beautiful suite they had been offered. He smiled to himself knowing just what Scott had done for him. There was a full kitchen, a large living room with a beautiful view out onto the city. The bedroom was spacious with a large bathroom with a full out jacuzzi.
