Wild Flower Ch. 18

"Your thug, I guess." Christian said harshly. "Is he the one..."

"You all blame because you saw me after your father fell." Miguel exclaimed, trying to fight his tears. "But I didn't do anything. Peter was just one of my workers and I can bring him to you so that you can ask him yourself."

"How am I sure that you won't bribe that same man who you claim to have met?" Christian yelled, clenching his fists. "My father is dead and he was really healthy the other day. He came to meet you and now he's dead. Everyone is talking about you killing him in the neighborhood."

"I didn't even know he was coming to meet me at the site." Miguel had never been so hurt. "People in the neighborhood hate and that's what they would use to tear us apart."

Right at that moment, Brian came with a tray of coffee and slowly put it on the table. He looked at Christian and saw the anger in his eyes. He had never seen Christian like that before. Right at that moment, he knew that he had to tell the truth to save Miguel.

"I don't even know..."

"Christian, I am really sorry for interrupting." Brian said softly, looking at Christian. "But I think you should try and listen to Christian. I know that you are really angry and I understand you. We have lost our father before and it hurts a lot but being angry in this situation won't help in anything."

"Brian, I am really..."

"He is telling the truth." Brian said softly. "When Peter and Miguel were talking the other day, I also heard that conversation before they even met at the job site. He is just a man that has been working for Miguel and Miguel wouldn't hurt your father because he loves you so much."

Miguel felt really happy that Brian stood up for him. He loved him even more. "Yes!" Miguel moved closer to Christian, hoping he was gonna listen to what he was saying. "Those people are lying to you, Christian. I wouldn't have dreamt of killing anyone."

"Please!" Brian put his hands together, pleading with Christian. "Miguel really loves you and he wouldn't hurt anyone."

Miguel moved slowly and faced Brian. "You may leave me alone to talk to Christian."

"Yes!" he smiled faintly, patting on Miguel's shoulder. "Excuse me."

Brian quickly left the living room. Miguel walked to Christian and looked into his eyes. What he saw really scared him a lot. He knew that Christian was mad at him but what he wanted was for him to trust him and listen to what he was telling him. He knew Christian had probably heard a lot of things against him but what he was just asking was for him to listen.

"I am not a saint and you know it, Christian." He spoke softly, getting even closer to Christian. "But I'd never do anything to hurt you." His eyes immediately became glassy with tears. "You bring out the best in me, the only things that still remain inside me."

Christian was getting really hurt by Miguel's words. The love inside his heart was growing stronger and stronger but so was the pain inside of him. He was getting terribly hurt and he wanted to hug and kiss Miguel but a strong part of him was telling him otherwise.

"The first time we met, you were really bitter and I you had even taken properties."

"That was before we knew each other." Miguel argued, shaking his head. "That was also before I fell for you."

"Okay." Christian moved closer to Miguel as his pain intensified and tears built in his eyes. "Have you ever killed someone?"

The moment Miguel heard that question, more tears built in his eyes as the sharpest pain he had ever felt in his life hit him. His heart broke to pieces and he got a little angry. His breaths became harsh and he clenched his fists. He remembered killing Lambert and Antonio. But most of all, he remembered the rape and all the pain that he had been through. It brought more tears to him.

"Why would you ask me such a question?" Miguel shrugged.

"The first time I came to your hacienda, I saw a riffle on the table and..."

"Is that the reason why you think I am a killer?" A tear went down Miguel's cheeks and he quickly rubbed it. "You saw me with a riffle because I am a hunter. I hunt wild and dangerous animals but humans are scared. I wouldn't dare do that."

"Okay, what about..."

"I know that you have been hearing a lot of things from people but people have been lying to you just to sabotage me." He said as another tear went down his cheek. He quickly rubbed it. "But it's their word against mine."

"Okay," Christian was getting closer to Miguel who looked really hurt. "What about the dragons, uh?" He asked harshly. "What do you know about them? Are you one of their victims?"

Miguel had no freaking idea how Christian knew about the dragons but he was really hurt just by the mention of that name. He remembered everything that had happened to him four years back. He wanted to just break down but he knew he was better than that. He quickly rubbed his tears and looked at Christian. His heart was racing and his pain intensified. He closed his eyes and just took a deep breath. He didn't wanna talk about the dragons for whatever reason.

"I am sure you are someone willing to avenge the injustice he was a victim to." He said softly but those words hurt like hell. "You are someone who is willing to take vengeance into your own hands."

Miguel opened his eyes and a tear followed. "It's unfair." He said in pain. "I told you everything that had happened to me, how they killed my parents. Why are you using that against me?"

"Because I know..." He yelled, stamping his foot on the ground. "I know about a group called the dragons and I also know that Spencer, Lambert and Alvarado are now missing."

Miguel furiously rubbed his tears as his pain got worse. He looked angrily at Christian and took a deep sigh. "I don't know what you are talking about, Christian. You may accuse me of anything but always remember that I didn't do anything."

"Fine!" he chuckled bitterly. "What were you and that man meeting to talk about at the construction site?"

"I told you he is one of my employees." Miguel slightly yelled, raising his eyebrows. "I had gone there to pay him and no," He said angrily. "I am not a victim of the dragons but I am actually a victim of Felix, your mother and all my accusers but even worse..." He paused as tears poured down his face. "...I am also your victim because you don't believe me."

Christian was hurt seeing Miguel crying but his hands were tied and he couldn't do anything. He was hurt and all he wanted was the truth.

"I won't tell you anything about my meeting because you wouldn't understand." He said in his pain. "You can think whatever you want Christian because I don't care. But I didn't kill your father because I am not a murderer."

Christian rubbed his tear and sighed. "Out of all these secrets, my father's death is the one that is difficult to explain too."

He looked at Miguel and then turned and left the mansion. Miguel watched as Christian went away and felt really terrible. He was in pain and he just didn't like what he was feeling. He slowly rubbed his tears and remembered his painful conversation with Christian.

"Here you go." Brandon handed the huge briefcase which contained a huge amount of money. "This briefcase contains a lot of money. Now I don't need to tell you what this money is for."

"Yes!" The pathologists, a tall man probably in his late 40s answered with a nod. He took the briefcase and smiled brightly.

"Now hand over the results." He extended his hands, giving the pathologist a serious look.

The pathologist sighed and then took out the results of the autopsy and gave them to Brandon. When Brandon took those results, an evil grin appeared on his handsome evil face. He knew that no one stood a chance with those results he had in his hands. He was gonna make things go his way.

"You have to show that Pablo Palmer's death was just an accident." He ordered, sounding with warning in his voice. "I will give you further instructions and if you don't wanna get into trouble then you better do as I will instruct. Do you understand?"

The pathologist nodded. He didn't wanna get into trouble or lose his job hence the reason why he was doing what he did. He knew powerful people were involved in it and Brandon had also threatened his life if he did not cooperate.

"I understand, sir."

He smiled and got out of the car. Brandon chuckled sinisterly and drove off. No one was gonna find out the truth, not even Miguel.

Christian had gone to look for help with his father's case but the people were asking for bribes, others were just incompetent. He was really pissed and he had no idea what to do. His body was vibrating in anger and though he was with Darren, it didn't really make any difference.

"Come on," Darren patted on his shoulder, trying to make him calm down. "You shouldn't be looking like this. It affects me too and I..."

"Darren!" Christian gripped his hair as his pain got worse. "How can I calm down when everything is going so wrong? My father has been murdered and I can't even do anything right. I feel like I am going crazy."

"I understand you and I..." He paused and cleared his voice. He had some really bad news for his friend and he had no idea how he was gonna take it. "...I wanted to tell you that your father's autopsy is finally out and..." he cleared his throat. "...the pathologist ruled out any preconceived murder and..."

"What?" Christian gasped, clenching his fists. "My father was murdered and those people are trying to manipulate this."

"I know how you feel, Chris." He patted on his shoulder, taking a sigh of relief. "But he concluded that it was all an accident. He wasn't murdered."

"He was murdered." Christian yelled, breathing like a predator. "But these motherfuckers are not willingly to help me." He yelled. "I have been to different offices but they are doing nothing about it."

"I know that and I understand you completely." Darren said with tears in his eyes. "I know that you are hurting terribly and it hurts me to see you like this. But please, take heart okay."

Christian knew that no matter what he did, the idiots were never gonna help him in anything. He knew those were desperate times. He couldn't rely on the police. He needed to create his own means of getting to the truth. He wasn't gonna let everything slip.

Miguel was pissed after having a really bad day. His heart was in pain and his body was vibrating in rage. He had come over to the hacienda and it just made him madder than he actually was. He was looking at Hector who was looking really drugged. His eyes were in his head and he was groaning painfully. It actually made Miguel even more evil. He looked really frustrated.

"I haven't been able to be with the man that I love during the times that he needs me the most and it's because of the dragons." He yelled, clenching his fists harder. He was in pain and he was ready to kill the bastard. "I am gonna show you just how much I hate you. I will make you feel every pain that I have been through."

He furiously took the injection from the table and held it closer to his stupid ugly face. "Do you see this?" He drew it closer and watched as he looked at it in fear. "I am gonna inject you with it and it will cause you so much pain than you can ever imagine." Hector's eyes widened as a deep breath left him. "It will torture you both physically and mentally. The pain this will cause you will be nothing compared to the pain that you have ever felt before. But..." He chuckled bitterly as an evil grin appeared on his face. "...you told me that nothing can hurt you because you are in the military. But let me tell you this..." he yelled. "...this injection will slowly destroy your body. Your mind will be destroyed and you will go insane."

He took a deep breath and gave Hector a dirty look. "I will make you feel just how pain feels like."

Hector was really scared when he heard that from Miguel. His heart immediately started pounding deep in his chest. His breaths became harsh and his body felt as if poison was passing through it. He trembled in fear and he wanted to break down and cry. He couldn't take it anymore. Mark had already tortured him enough with those drugs and he was feeling as if he was gonna go crazy with all the hallucinations. His head was hurting terribly and veins had already shot up in his eyes.

"Please," He cried, shaking his head. "I can't take it anymore. Stop!"

Miguel withdrew the needle and gripped his chin, clenching on it. "You know exactly what I want. I am in no mood for games right now so you better start talking you bastard. Or else I will..."

"Please!" He cried, feeling his entire body enveloping in pain. "I will tell you the name of the other dragon."

"What?" Miguel gasped as he felt a cold shiver pass through his entire body.

"Yes!" Hector couldn't take the pain or torture anymore. "His name is... is Daniel, Daniel Rivera."

Miguel's heart jumped when he heard that name. His eyes widened and he started feeling really hot. He felt a really sharp pain hit his head and he groaned. Tears formed in his eyes as he looked even more confused. He had heard the name somewhere but he just couldn't put his fingers on it.

"If you really wanted revenge on the dragons then you should have started with Daniel because he is the idiot that needed to be killed and not the four us." He said harshly, trying to hide his pain. The bastard really didn't learn, did he?

"What do you mean by not the four of you?" Miguel gasped as he got even more confused. "It was the four of you that abused me that night."

Hector gave a loud laugh. "There were only four of us but the dragons are actually five." He gave a deep groan. "You only saw the four of us because... because Daniel is a scared brat. He backed off at the last moment and he is also the one that is responsible for your survival."

"What?" Miguel was getting even more confused with each passing moment. He felt as if Alex was playing with his mind. He was confused as hell. "What no sense are you talking about?"

"You really have no idea." Hector laughed manically which he regretted because his chest hurt like hell. "This is because of that idiot that you are alive. We told that bastard that we should have finished you off ourselves but he is too much of a pussy to have listened to those stupid bastards that wanted to finish you off themselves."

Miguel definitely had no idea what was going on. Instead of finding out the name of the last dragon that had raped him, he found out that there was another dragon that he had no idea about. He looked at Hector and was filled with nothing but anger.

"It's his fault because we would have finished you ourselves but that idiot is..."

"You and all the other dragons are idiots." Miguel snarled, clenching his fists. "You are all idiots for believing that you could have gotten rid of me that easily. But now you are gonna get a taste of pain. You are gonna feel what the people you have been raping have felt."

He moved closer to Hector's face and looked into his stupid eyes. "I don't care what that idiot dragon did but maybe he had actually saved my life indirectly." He chuckled bitterly. "But he also didn't do anything to stop what you bastards did to me. Therefore, I'm getting my revenge on him too."

Miguel didn't care if that dragon didn't rape him or not. He might have raped the others and that was the reason why Miguel wasn't gonna spare him too. It was the price he was gonna have to pay for being a dragon.

He took a deep breath and then got really serious. "I want the name of the last dragon that had raped me. I want you to tell me the last name." he looked at Hector and shook his head. "Just look at you." He chuckled bitterly.

Hector had been so arrogant the first day but he looked like a shadow of himself. He looked really defeated because Miguel had reduced him to nothingness. He loved it and he also loved how foolish Hector was looking like.

"Please..." He groaned, feeling a sharp pain. "...I want to speak to my kids."

"Excuse me?" Miguel chuckled bitterly, folding his arms on his chest. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Please!" Hector pleaded. "I don't want them to worry."

"Really?" Miguel snapped at him. "My parents weren't given the same consideration when they were murdered. They died not knowing what was gonna happen to their child." He felt tears building in his eyes as he remembered his parents. "I am not going to be so kind to you."

Miguel furiously rubbed his tear and slowly started moving the needle to Hector. He was planning on injecting him and making him pay for everything.

"Please," Hector cried softly. "You shouldn't inject me again because it will only cause overdosing and death."

Miguel continued teasing Hector and just when the needle was about to pierce his skin, he withdrew it and laughed sinisterly. "You are probably right about that." He said hoarsely. "I am not going to inject you. Since you are a military office, you have probably tortured a lot of people to get the position of the Colonel."

He took a quick glance behind and saw Mark standing there and watching everything. He gestured to him to come near and the loyal guard didn't need to be told twice. He quickly came to Miguel and his eyes were just on the bastard he was torturing.

"Yes, don!" Mark said in a deep manly voice.

Miguel looked at Mark and took a deep breath. "This bastard thinks I am joking with him." He glanced at Hector as an evil grin appeared on his gorgeous face. "It's about time you find out how it feels like to be on the other side of torture."

An evil grin appeared on Miguel's face as looked at the stupid dragon. He knew Mark was gonna torture him and make him feel all the pains of this world. The next time they were probably gonna see each other, he was gonna get the name of the last dragon.

***

Christian was at his father's wake, mourning his father. Most of the neighbors were there and Christian was in so much pain. Carter was with him to support him and probably to get every chance he could to hug him and luckily kiss him. He was also dressed in black and was following Christian everywhere he went.

Christian looked at Carter as more tears poured down his face. "I have taken a decision." He said softly, rubbing his tears. "I will have to use extreme means to make everyone involved in my father's death pay dearly."

To say Carter was surprised would be an understatement. He had never heard Christian speak like that before and it surprised him even so much. That was so not like him at all. It was really strange.

"I will send anyone that tries to make a fool of me to hell." He clenched his fists, feeling his mouth shaking.

"Are you speaking of vengeance instead of Justice?" Carter asked, rubbing on his shoulder to make him feel better.

"What do you want me to do?" He said harshly, trying to hide his pain. "I have tried all means but everything has failed. It's obvious that they are all trying to protect the murderer."

Carter knew that the only one who was involved was Miguel and the police were protecting him from facing his sins and mistakes. But he didn't want to tell Christian that and make him feel bad. He wanted the old Christian back.

"Maybe it was just an accident." Carter said softly.

"No!" Christian snapped, remembering what his father had probably been through before he died. "These types of accident don't just happen." He knew he was shouting but he didn't care. "I knew my father very well. He was not crazy and he wasn't the type to endanger himself for no good reason. I promise to catch all those involved and I will make them pay with my own hands." He furiously raised his trembling hands.

Carter just looked at him and knew that he probably shouldn't be saying anything because Christian was really mad at him.
