Lilith's Emporium: Awakened Ch. 01

He grabbed the faucet turning on the water for her. "See, this will wash away all the dirt or whatever."

"This is amazing." she said reaching out the feel the water smiling.

"And here you can use my body wash if you want."

"Body wash? What is body wash, Do you not have soap?"

"It is soap, but here is a bar of soap as well if that's more to your liking."

Selena smiled at the shower before she began to undress in front of him. She was between him and the door as he couldn't leave but she began to hand him different part soft her clothing like her corset followed by her boots and so on and he took everything he could. She removed the sword and Baldric from her back and glared at him for a moment.

"This sword has already tasted your blood, I suggest you return it to me as is if you don't want it to taste more."

Jason swallowed before he said "yes Ma'am." Before he took it from her.

She removed her final piece of clothing as she stood there naked in front of him. He tried to look away and not stare but her body was breathtaking. She was pale but very nicely shaped as she stepped into the shower noticing him trying not to stare at here before she gave him an unsatisfied look closing the curtain. Once she was hidden from him she couldn't help but smile to herself.

She did think he was cute and was grateful he was at least trying to help her but she had more important things on her mind. She was worried about the images she saw of her home in ruins and thought about the fate of her mother and father. She thought back to the last time she saw them and the people attacking her home. It was a long time ago but to her it was only yesterday. She was bitter towards humans but she was trying not to blame Jason for events he knew nothing about until moments ago.

Jason took her outfit and brought it to the bedroom laying out for her. He picked up the sword and examined it for a moment seeing the blood in it still damp. This was all a lot for him to take in. He had no idea what was going on in that shop or that the statue wad that of of real person. He didn't even know Vampires existed until moments ago but there was something about her that just made him want to help her.

"Jason?" He suddenly heard her call from the bathroom.

He walked in to the bathroom to see what she needed when he saw her standing there naked still dripping wet doing nothing to cover herself. "Um... yes?"

"Is there something I can use to dry myself?"

"I'm sorry, in that cabinet there." He said as she bent down to open up the small door before pulling out a towel while he got a view if her from behind.

"Are you going to just stare at me or is there something I can wear to bed?"

"I'm sorry, I um... I don't have a lot of woman's clothing but um... I have this?" He said pulling a bathrobe out of the bathroom closet before handing it to her.

She examined the soft material for a moment and said "I suppose this will do." She said dropping the towel and putting the robe on before walking past him before he turned the water off. "Now where is the bedroom?" She asked turning back towards him.

"Right through here." He said leading her into his room.

As she walked in she looked at his queen size bed and then at all the strange pictures on the wall and other artifacts she did not recognize. She saw what looked like paintings but were very different. This was not a bedroom she was used to as she walked over to the bed.

"This is your bedroom?" She said raising an eyebrow at it."

"Yup, sorry it's probably not as nice as what you're used to." He said not sure what she was expecting."

"I suppose this will do." She said looking around again before she saw a small picture of a woman on the nightstand next to bed.

"Who is this?" She asked holding up the picture.

"Oh um..." He said frantically taking it from her. "Sorry, this is um..."

"Is she your lover?"

"She, she's gone now. Anyway the bed's a few years old but still pretty comfortable, and I'll be on the couch if you need anything." He said taking the picture with him and heading for the door. "Good night, or morning?" He added before shutting the door leaving Selena standing there a little confused.

She looked around one more time before sitting down on the bed. It wasn't what she was used to but it was comfortable and it smelled like Jason which was a scent she had grown accustomed to since his blood woke her up. She thought about that picture and how strange he acted when she asked about it but soon she tried to get comfortable and go to sleep. This was difficult as it was still dark out and she was used to sleeping during the day but the sun would be up soon and she needed to rest.

Jason was laying on the couch with the picture of Tina on the coffee table. He was having trouble sleeping for many reason. He was partly a little afraid of the Vampire in his room getting hungry in the middle of the night but also he had too much on his mind to even try to sleep. It had been an eventful evening and he was wired and nervous and unable to relax.

Hours had gone by and Jason wasn't sure when it happened but he had fallen asleep because it was suddenly day time. The clock said noon and the last time he looked at it it was around 5:00am. He jumped off the couch and ran to the bathroom turning on the light and checking himself in the mirror. He was expecting bite marks on or near his neck but there was nothing. He looked under her shirt and even in his pants but there was no injuries he could find as he breathed a sigh of relief.

He stepped out of the bathroom and gently opened the bedroom door. He stuck his head inside to see the shades had been closed and it was dark. It was hard to tell if anyone was in the bed so he took a few steps closer to see if she was still there. When he stepped he heard the floor creak a little which made him freeze. Suddenly he felt someone grab him and a cold blade held against his throat. He looked to his right and saw Selena staring him down with those glowing red eyes and she looked as if she wasn't messing around. He was a worried that one wrong move or word and he would lose his head in half a second.

"What are you doing?" She demanded of him.

"I'm sorry, I was just checking on you, that's all!"

"Didn't anyone teach you that Vampires are just as dangerous in their sleep as they are awake?"

"Sorry, I don't know much about Vampires."

"Well I hope you are a fast learner." She said lowering her sword and pushing him away. Jason turned around and saw her standing there naked again before he looked away trying not to stare when she said "is there something wrong with my body?"

"What? No oh God no!"

"You keep staring at me and then turning away from me, does my naked body bother you?"

"No, I mean yes, I mean... I'll let you get dressed!" He said heading for the door closing it behind him.

He went back and sat on the couch feeling his neck for blood as the blade had gotten very close. Not finding any injuries he just sat there for a long time waiting for her to come out of the bedroom. He closed all the curtains trying to make it as dark as he could but it was a long time that he heard nothing from the bedroom. Suddenly the door finally opened and Selena came walking out. She was fully dressed again with her sword in the Baldric on her back as she stepped towards him. Her eyes were normal again and she didn't seem angry but she also had no expression on her face at all.

"Is this better?" She asked standing there.

"It's definitely less distracting anyway."

"Good then maybe we can accomplish something useful now."

"Well I um, I did some more checking last night on my phone after you destroyed my computer." He said waiting for some sort of apology or anything from her but there was nothing as she just stared at him. "and I found some information about your home, if you want to hear it anyway."

"and, what did you find."

"It spoke of a legend about a Vampire Lord who lived in Rorickstead castle with his wife and daughter."

"Go on?"

"It didn't say much but there was some stuff about the local village believing they were vampires but they didn't mind as they seemed to live in peace with the family."

"We did, we never harmed anyone in the village."

"But then apperently there were some grizzly murders and a few people began to believe the vampires were responsible and given the type of people who lived back then they were easily persuaded."

"What do you mean types of people?"

"Well I was going to say people who were more likely to believe in things like superstition which seems kind of stupid of me considering I am talking to a vampire."

"So what happened?"

"It didn't say much, Just that they attacked the castle and it was unknown what happened to the family that lived there."

Selena looked down for a moment as he could tell she was upset. He stood up and walked over to her placing his hand on her shoulder. She looked up at him as she was trying to hold back tears again by the looks of it.

"Look," he said "that means there is hope, sometimes that's all we have and maybe your mother was just as resilient as you, and hey there's still the shop, maybe they'll have some answers for you."

"Yes the shop, we should go right away."

"Okay then, well do you want to leave now or wait until this evening? I'm guessing the sunlight isn't good for you?"

"I don't enjoy it no, but before we go you need to clean yourself up."

"Excuse me?"

"You smell a little, so please use that shower and then we can go."

"Okay, oh maybe I have sun block for you if that helps?"

"Sun block?"

"Its a cream that protects your skin from the sun." She stared at him a moment with a confused look on her face. "Sorry it was kind of a joke I guess."

"You do that a lot, are you a court Jester?"

"A What? No just trying to be funny."

"I see."

"And failing, good to know." He said turning towards the bathroom. "I'm gonna go wash up, be back soon." He said turning towards the bathroom and walking into the corner of the wall by accident.

Selena let out a chuckle before she said "now that was humorous."

"Me walking into things makes you laugh, good to know." He said before walking into the bathroom and shutting the door.

He stared at himself in the mirror as he was in a but of pain. He stared at himself thinking he was going crazy as it had been a very strange night and things didn't seem like they were going to slow down any time soon. He thought about what he saw when she was naked in front of him and he couldn't help but feel turned on which made him also feel strange. This woman was a vampire who could kill and eat him at any moment if he pissed her off and he was getting turned on by her. He finally began to strip and turn on the shower.

As Selena heard the shower start running she looked around before she realized there was another picture box behind her and it was playing something. She sat down and watched the picture which appeared to be some sort of rabbit and a hunter but she didn't quite understand what a cartoon was. She watched as the hunter continuously true to kill the odd looking rabbit but failing many time. After watching it for a while she began to see the humor of it and even laughed a few times.

Jason walked out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel and heard her laughing before he looked and saw her watching a bugs bunny cartoon. He watched her for a moment seeing her laugh out loud and almost forgot what she was. He turned and walked into the bedroom closing the door behind him before looking for clothes and dropping the towel. He grabbed some underwear and jeans before grabbing a shirt throwing them on the bed before he turned to see Selena standing there not hearing the door open

"Oh crap, um." He said covering himself. "Something wrong?" He said wondering why she was there.

"No, but now we're even." She said with a smile before closing the door and returning to the living room.

He stood there shocked by what she had just said. Was that a joke, was she telling jokes now? He was more and more surprised by this girl the longer she was here. He finished getting dressed and walked out to the living room as she was still watching Looney Toons.

"So do you want to wait for sundown?"

"Huh?" She said turning to him. "Uh no, I'll be fine, I have my hood and I'm assuming you have one of those metal carriages?"

"Metal carriage? Oh my car, yes yes it's in the garage." He said grabbing his keys as they headed out the door.

She followed him to the parking garage where she saw many stone columns that reminded her of parts if her old home. There were many cars as she looked all over curious as to how carriages had evolved so much and longer required horses to pull them. They approached the small black vehicle with only two doors as Jason opened the passenger side door for her. She smiled at manors before sitting down Inside. She looked at all the switches and knobs in front of her as Jason got in the other side. She watched as he slid his key in and started the vehicle as she heard the explosions from the engine making her jump a little as her heightened senses weren't ready for it.

"You alright?" He asked seeing her react to everything.

"I am fine, but I think there was an explosion?"

"Just the engine starting, it's alright, everything is fine." He said as he put on his seatbelt. "You may want to strap in?"

"What for?"

"For safety?"

"I am not strapping myself to an exploding carriage thank you."

"I Can't argue with that logic." He said as he backed out if the spot and headed out to the road.

It was mostly a quiet ride as Selena seemed more interested in everything happening inside the car than outside. At one point she pushed a button turning on the radio and she quickly covered her ears shocked by the noise coming from the speakers. Jason quickly turned it down for her.

"What the hell was that?" she asked.

"Iron maiden."

"That is unlike any Iron Maiden I know of."

"It's music, the band is called Iron Maiden."

"That is not music!"

"Let me find something a little softer." He said hooking up his IPod and playing some Lindsay Sterling instrumentals thinking it might be more to Selenas liking.

"This is very pleasant, yet a little faster and louder than I remember."

"Music has changed a lot in the last 400 years, a lot of things in general have changed but I'd be happy to help you catch up on everything you've missed." He said turning to her for a second. "I mean, until you find your family."

"That may be helpful." She said smiling at him but still seeming a bit nervous.

As they drove a little longer he finally approached the shop. Jason pulled into a parking spot and turned off the car before looking over at Selena who was sitting there silent and just staring at the front of the little building

"This place seems old and, I don't know, strange." She said examining the building.

"You were here before weren't you?"

"When I awoke I was confused and disoriented, I sensed two people in the room but neither smelled familiar so I left as quickly as I could moving past them to the point they didn't even notice me. I was suddenly in the woods trying to get my bearings when I picked up your scent.

"I see, well I got some weird feelings when I was here before, plus that creature I told you about."

"What were you doing here?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well the name Lilith who is an ancient Goddess of sex, Erotic speaks for itself and I'm not sure what an Emporium is but why were you here?"

"Curiosity more than anything, I guess."

"You were curious about Lilith or the word Erotic?"

"Why does it matter?"

"I'm just trying to figure out what sort of person you are, you use a magic box to watch people have sex and you were here at an Erotic shop?"

"I don't watch porn, I mean, I have but I... look we are here for a reason aren't we?"

"Yes, you are right, let's go get some answers." She said stepping out of the car and heading towards the front door pulling out her sword.

Jason quickly got out if the car and ran up behind her and said, "maybe we don't resort to violence just yet?"

"You told me there was a beast in here, I want to be prepared." She said opening the door and heading in as Jason rolled his eyes and followed her. As they walked around the shop Selena looked all over before relaxing a bit and saying "this is a very odd place, some of these artifacts are hundreds if not thousands of years old, some of the creatures are dangerous."

"That's why I keep a close eye on things." A womans voice said from behind them as they both spun around defensively.

"You, you are a succubus?" Selena said examine the red headed woman in front of her.

"And you are a vampire, and you are a nosey young man!" She said turning her attention towards Jason.

"I, I didn't mean to..."

"Walk into my back room and touch things you shouldn't have? Besides you startled my daughter."

"Your Daug..." he stopped when he suddenly felt something warm and tight wrap around his neck. He looked back to see a young blonde woman in a flowery dress staring at him but the thing wrapped around his throat was apparently a tale coming from under her dress.

"Yes my Daughter Shadow."

"I like him, can I play with him mother?" Shadow said with a smile on her face.

"Release him at once!" Selena said holding up her sword ready to attack anyone who crossed her.

"Everyone relax." Nessira said putting her hands up motioning everyone to calm down. "Shadow release him please."

"As you wish Mother." She said with a pout retracting her tale and staring at him for a moment before she turned and headed to the back room.

Jason fell to the floor struggling to catch his breath. He was starting to get a little aggravated as everyone seemed to be beating him up or choking him since he first set foot in this store.

"Selena was it?" Nessira said before walking around the counter and pulling out a large leathery book.

"How did you know my name?"

"My mother and I have been looking after you for a long time, of course I know who you are, now you happen to be in luck."

"Why is that?"

"Well, usually I would have let my daughter have her way with your friend here and be done with the both of you but I promised Lilith I would help you anyway I could should the day arrive."

"Well then good thing I snuck around then, by the way your really should have a door back there?" Jason said breaking his silence

"Shut up you fool." Nessira said to him. "This shop wanted you to awaken her."

"Excuse me, the shop wanted him to awaken me? Why?" Selena asked.

"I don't know, he wondered in and the shop hid him from me, these things happen a lot and I don't always have a say in the matter."

"Wait the shop wanted... that doesn't make any sense?" Jason said confused by what he was hearing.

"Silence." Selena said before returning her attention to Nessira. "You said you could help me?"

"No, I said I would help you, I can send you home and you can send this foolish boy away."

"Boy? Wait a minute." Jason protested.

"I said Silence!" Selena said again shutting Jason up. "No he will accompany me."

"Wait what?" He asked confused.

"Suit yourself, you just might need to keep an eye on him where I'm sending you."

"Why do you say that?" Selena asked.

"I am sending you to a hotel in London that caters to, we all people like you and I, they may want a good time or even a snack if they see him."

"I will kill anyone who touches him!"

"Do I have a say in this matter?" Jason said being ignored by the two of them.

"Okay so London should be close enough" Nessira said looking through her book. "Ah here it is, you'll need these." She said handing Selena a small stack of what looked like gold coins. "Ask for Lemar, he will take good care of you and provide you with anything you will need." Nessira said closing the book and walking over to a closed closet door. She placed her hand on It and began to speak in a strange language as a light began to shine from behind the door. When she was done she opened it to reveal a strange blue fog and said "here you go, as I said, ask for Lemar."
