Katja Pt. 07

Jack nodded and grinned, "Yes, I suppose that makes sense. Please send the info to me, I guess I need to know more."

Celia laughed, "Yes, you will. And I warn you now, before all is said and done, you just might end up becoming a Pagan. Actually, I think you'd like it. We're a little more open and outgoing then most mainstream religions. We have a lot more fun."

Jack laughed at that statement. The Maria finally asked, "So what happens now Celia, I'm still a little confused myself."

Celia smiled at her, "Nothing really, treat her no different than you always have. She still is and always will be your daughter. The Goddess will teach her until it's time for me to guide her."

Maria nodded, then she blushed a bit asking, "I was wondering why I didn't hear anything that was going on between everyone, like with Jack, if you know what I mean." Then she sighed, "I'm not saying any of this right."

Celia smiled knowingly, 'It's all right Maria, I know what you're asking. Your ancestry is Italian if I'm not mistaken, isn't it?"

Maria, looked at her curiously, "Yes, I am. Why would that make a difference?"

Celia smiled, "Well, Bast is an Egyptian and Lyonness Goddess, and Lady Brigit is Celtic. I believe you would be more attuned to the Old Roman Gods and Goddesses, such as Cybele. She would be the counterpart of Bast and Brigit, I believe."

Maria nodded, "I see, so what your saying is that they're tied to your ancestry?"

Celia smiled and rocked her hand back and forth, "Sort of. As a pagan, we can look to any of them we want. It depends on what you feel is right. Then sometimes they pick you, like Bast did with Lucy. But since you're not a pagan, it would sort of default to Roman I think."

Katja was still holding Erik when she heard a voice sigh, "Daughter please tell the little daughters' mother to take her hand and I will speak with her. I have noticed that the Priestess is much like her Goddess, she also likes to explain things overmuch."

Katja smiled at that, and thought, "As you wish my Goddess." Then she and Lucy giggled, as she said, "Excuse me Celia, I don't mean to interrupt, but Bast thinks you explain things overly much. Maria, please take Lucy's hand."

Maria looked at Katja and nodded. She held out her hand and smiling Lucy took it. The she heard a voice that sounded like Katja's. "Mother of our future priestess, please be assured that even though we did not speak to you, we are also bound by rules and decorum, we are grateful for allowing your daughter to become our priestess and daughter also. Know that she will help heal this world and bring it back on course. Your part will be to nurture and love her. You also will help and encourage her when needs it. Does this meet with your approval?"

To which Maria replied, "Yes it does, this is simple to do as it is already something I do, like most mothers. But you would know that since you are a mother also, are you not?"

"You speak truly, you are wise. I know that you are not one that follows the old ways right now, however, if one day you decide too, I would request that you consider asking of me since you are a kindred spirt." We will speak again when it is time."

Maria felt a little dizzy, but Lucy had thrown her arms around her neck and hugged her. Then said, "I love you mommy."

Maria smiled and held her daughter and kissed her forehead. "I love you to baby."

Celia smiled at the scene and then looked at Katja and said, "So Bast thinks I explain things too much does she?"

Katja giggled, "Yes Celia, She said "I have noticed that the Priestess is much like her Goddess, she also likes to explain things overmuch." Then Katja grinned, "It wasn't so much a complaint or criticism, but an observation."

Celia smiled, "She may be right, but I only do because I need to get through hard heads like your mate here."

Then she added, "I need to go before it gets too late. This has the most pleasurable and interesting day in many years. Jack, I'll send you the info and the list of books. We'll also work out something for when we need it, we do have time."

She called Lucy over and gave her a huge hug and kissed her cheek. "Lucy my dear, thank you for helping today, you were wonderful. We'll see just what happens with the rest. Okay"

Lucy hugged her back and said, "Thank you Miss Celia. I'm going to miss you."

Celia laughed, "Don't worry little sister, we'll see each other again soon."

Celia stood and Erik and Katja joined her, "I thank you two for letting me do the ceremony today, I can't remember the last time I did one that was as beautiful and moving as this one was. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't assisted if you know what I mean."

Erik, then Katja hugged her, Then Erik pulled out an envelope and handed it to her, "This for today Celia."

Celia looked at him and said, "Erik, you know I won't take your money for today." Then she went to hand it back to him.

But Erik smiled and held up his hand, "I know you won't Celia, this is for the Shelter and whatever else you think needs it."

Celia smiled and opened the envelope, then almost dropped it when she saw how much it was. "Erik, this is too much, really."

Erik shook his head, "What the places you help and support do is more than worth what's in there. Like I said, split it up however you see fit."

She hugged him again and said thank you.

Then Katja hugged her saying, "Celia, I can't thank you enough for all that you did today on everything. I hope to see you again soon, maybe come over for dinner one night. Ariel and I will make you some food from our world. I know you'll love it."

Celia smiled, "That sounds wonderful dear, I'll look forward to it."

Erik and Katja walked her out to her car and they hugged once more. Then they watched drive away.

Erik and Katja hugged, Then Erik said, "I love you my mate. I so glad we were finally able to do this."

Katja smiled back and kissed him, "So am I my love. It's hard to believe that so much could happen in one day."

The Erik asked, "Did Ariel and Tony say what time they'd be back?

Katja smiled, "After dinner I suppose, they didn't say the exact time. I have a feeling we're going to have another one of these soon. They were discussing it, I think seeing us do this, made them finally decide."

Erik grinned, "I hope so, they both deserve it. So, since we don't know what time, I think I'll order a couple of pizzas. That way it's here if they want any once they come back."

He took her hand and walked back into the house. Once they got back in, he asked the others what they'd like on the pizza, then he placed the order.

Then he asked if anybody wanted something to drink. Katja said yes, but the others said they'd wait for a while.

He went in and pored a couple glasses of tea for Katja and himself. When he brought them out, he saw Lucy sitting in Katja's lap and she looked a little sad.

He set the teas down and he asked, "Something the matter love?"

Katja smiled lightly and nodded, "It seems that our little sister here is sad, she misses Jonny."

Lucy looked at Erik and frowned, "I know I can't see him all the time, we live too far away. But is there any way I can talk to him? If I could do that it might not be so bad."

Erik thought for a minute, then look at Jack and Maria asking, "Jack, I know she's too young for a phone, but do you have a computer she can use occasionally?"

Jack smiled, "Yes, I think that can be arranged."

Erik smiled, "Okay, that's good. When I go back into work on Monday, I'll talk to Jonny's dad about it. That way you two can video chat every few days or so on the computer. How would that be Lucy?"

Lucy smiled at Erik and jumped into his lap and hugged him saying, "I knew you would know a way. You know how to fix everything."

Erik grinned and hugged her back, "Well, maybe not everything Lucy, but thank you for thinking that."

Katja grinned and told her, "You shouldn't tell him that, you'll make his head swell."

Then Lucy looked over her shoulder at Katja and asked, "But you said he could fix everything yourself."

Katja laughed, "Yes, but that was between us, you don't actually tell them that. That's just between us girls."

Erik grinned and asked, "What? Already initiating her into the women's secrets."

Katja smiled and said, "Of course, she may be little yet, but this is a special case." Lucy and Maria laughed along with her.

The pizza came, so they all gathered around to eat. A half hour later, Ariel and Tony came back and Erik told them to join them and grab a slice. Ariel smiled, even though they ate a little while ago, there was always room for a slice of pizza.

As they finished up, Ariel asked Katja as they carried the dishes and leftovers into the kitchen, "Well, did everything get settled up?"

Katja smiled, "Yes, it was quite exciting. But in the end, Jack and Maria agreed to let Lucy be trained as a priestess."

Ariel smiled, "Exciting good, or exciting bad?"

Katja grinned, "Good, the Goddess talked to Jack and Maria. I think She got a little impatient that it was taking so long to get everything out, so She told Lucy to hand her statute to him. Then She explained it to him."

Then Katja laughed, "And then, when Celia was explaining things to Maria, Bast spoke to me and Lucy. She said that Celia was much like her Goddess, that Brigit like explaining things too much also. So, Lucy handed her the statue and Bast explained things to her. Maria was smiling afterwards, so I don't know what they talked about."

Ariel thought for a moment, then said, "Have you noticed that there has been a lot of that recently? I've heard of people having visions or whatever many times in the past, but it seems that they are taking a more active and personal part in everyone's lives lately. The old stories mentioned that, but up till now, it had seemed like they didn't."

Ariel got a little flustered, "Is what I'm saying making any sense?"

Katja smiled, "It does to me, I know you well enough. But I think your right, they do seem to be taking a more direct hand in things."

Then Katja laughed, "However, I've been told, I need to stop being curious for some reason and I'm not about to go against Her wishes. But, something Erik said makes me think, he said that it might have been better if our ancestors had stayed around instead of leaving, that maybe this world would have been better off."

Ariel grinned and then shrugged, "Well, I guess we'll find out sooner or later. The way things have been happening lately, it might be soon whatever it is."

Katja nodded, then grinned, "Speaking of things happening soon, have you and Tony come to any decisions yet?"

Ariel blushed and nodded, "Yes, we've decided that we will be Mated. We love each other to much and we have too much fun together to wait any longer, we know we are meant to be. The being Mated part we'll do when the time is right, it should be soon. However, we might wait a bit before we do what you and Erik did today. Neither of us have ever seen a ceremony like that before. But it fits us doesn't it? I saw some human weddings on the computer, and they didn't really do all that much for me. But this one did."

Then she laughed, "I couldn't believe that my big ape of a mate was crying like a child. But that's how he really is, he's one of the tenderest people I've ever met, even if he doesn't look like it."
